After a long moment, she chose Alina. We all sat down and discussed how to conquer the woman. At first Diamond was hesitant, but she quickly got into the problem, as she was better at it than we were and enjoyed it. The obvious path was to use Her God on the female congregants. The pastor was already on very thin ice with his congregation for divorcing and marrying a younger woman, if more complained, they’d be put in a very bad spot.

Kianna could do it, fairly easily. She would even enjoy it. I went through the materials she’d been preparing and Alina was in there, though in a special folder called ‘worthless harlots’. It had quite a few women. Rather more than the main folder, as she had very few contacts with wealthy, powerful women.

I ignored most of them and put up what we knew about her.

Alina Li, was about Asa’s age, but married to Jeremy Li, in his fifties. No children, though it was impossible to tell if the problem was his wife, or him. They certainly preached about being fruitful and multiplying…the fact that he’d been married to Alina for eighteen months with no sign of kids might have suggested it was him, but Asa knew Alina had injectable, long-lasting birth control.

She was also fairly confident Alina was still sleeping around, which suggested a cruel notion, with my enhancements, impregnating her would be straightforward. How exactly that would bring her under control in any reasonable timeline was less clear. But Asa clearly found the idea of me impregnating her ex-lover/friend and turning her into breedstock hot as hell. I couldn’t 100% disagree, but we weren’t getting anywhere.

Diamond finally spoke up, “Look, what are we trying to do? Just ruin this bitches life, or get her under control, so we control her husband and the entire congregation down there?”

Asa pouted. “Fine. What would you do?”

Diamond had been examining Kianna’s files and listening while Asa described what she knew. “First we gotta get her in the app and figure out if she’s religious enough for Her God to work. If she is, that’s easy. If not, we’ll need to be more creative. So, first step, she’s got this ‘reading group’ on Wednesday, right?”

“Yeah, for her and her cronies to sit around and lord it over others. But I can’t go, that would be suspicious as fuck. And Eli…like, putting everything else aside, this is a real…denominational church.”

I gave her a confused look.

“Ethnic and not white ethnic,” Diamond glossed. Asa nodded.

I shrugged.

“So we send Kianna. I can give her a lift, imbue her, she can touch Alina and test her at the same time, some minor piece of theological change. The truly religious women should go along, but what about the men?”

Asa and Diamond gave me twin confused looks. Apparently the women and men would be segregated at these sorts of events and churches. Like I was just supposed to know that? I’m white and didn’t go to any churches!

I agreed to brief Kianna on the plan and make sure she could attend, though it was a bit late for that today. It was later than I’d thought, the conversation had taken a long time, but still…I must have spent longer inside Jinx’s head than I thought. As I texted Kianna to arrange to meet her tomorrow, Asa asked if I’d told her mother about Jinx, which I hadn’t and wasn’t planning to.

“Kianna needs to believe I’ve got everything 100% under control. I can’t show her any weakness…it would be cruel.”

“Only we get to see you, chicken?” Asa teased and got slapped in the back of the head by Diamond.

She winced and glared, but Diamond just said. “Yes, and that’s a fucking privilege.”

I hoped that would distract them, but instead, it pulled us back to Jinx. I told them as much as I could, but then…“I can’t tell you everything. Because I promised as part of a Parley,” which diverted us into an explanation about that, and Zsasz, and breaking that deal and Zsasz’s ****…to which Diamond’s only response was:

”Good riddance.”

They were taking the whole **** thing a lot better than I’d expected. They were taking it all a lot better than I expected. I wouldn’t realize until…far later, that I’d given them both a command, which I’d never undone. ‘Love me.’ And they did. They couldn’t not.

But that was a discovery for later. For now, they did manage to return to Jinx. “Are you at least done with her?” Diamond asked.

“Until she gets out.”

“And then?”

“Nothing illegal, that’s as much as I can tell you.”

They glared at me, but didn’t argue.

“Let’s take a look at her challenge, maybe that’ll tell us something,” Asa suggested and they looked at the phone as I pulled up the options.

The Need For Power: Jinx’s pursuit of power intensifies and becomes more successful, allowing her to enhance her powers and eventually figure out a ritual to give her the powers she has long sought. Fuck no! We weren’t risking hundreds of lives on my being able to rapidly get her to positive submission. Besides, it didn’t even say that she would have to use the tantric ritual, just that she could.

The Need For Status: Jinx’s pursuit of power is all about status, given her original untouchable poor woman status. She begins to focus her attention on more subtle means of gaining it then direct mystical power, as her intelligence and skills would make her an expert intelligencer and blackmailer. NOTE: THIS WILL EXPEDITE HER LEAVING HER DETENTION. Behind every great man, is a woman holding him up and on top of every supportive woman is a great man fucking her down.

This one was scary to me, given the secrets I had, though it was less horrifying than the first. Both Asa and Diamond seemed less worried about it than I was, but they had fewer secrets. And seemed to like the notion of Jinx being turned into a horny housewife. They hated her, almost as much as they’d hated Harley, though that was complicated by Harley killing Zsasz for me…

The Need For Control: Jinx’s pursuit of control allows her to figure out how to unlock the power she has long sought, Mind Control. NOTE: THIS WILL EXPEDITE HER LEAVING HER DETENTION. Given my protections, I’d have a chance of being okay even without it, but what she could get up to with everyone else…
