Continue to the cave

You enter a cave, and after an hour of walking, the air is hotter, you find yourself in a vast chamber full of steam with a natural hot pool. Around its edges lie scattered treasures: goblets, pieces of armor, a sword, jewels, and many, many gold coins.

You can search the treasures, risking the dragon’s wrath but possibly finding a clue or the magic stone, or you can call out, offering respect (or a bargain) to the unseen dragon.
