Chapter 38 by CMW CMW

Are the girls awake yet?

Mostly

Back in the bedroom only Elise was the only one sleeping. I bet Lillian was in her little office, or maybe with Iris? Hmm, darn. The Lady probably knew but I didn’t want to interrupt her training with sister. I decided to just walk around.

I decided checking the dinning area was a sound idea. Since that in there was likely the girls eating breakfast. Which was right. Celeste instantly noticed me clutching my hand.

“Sister? What’s wrong?” she asked.

“I was just a bit stupid. You know where Lillian is?” I asked.

“She said she wanted to be with Sofia today since you mentioned a blessing from her goddess,” Celeste said.

“Ah. I’ll go up there then,” I said.

“No need, I will call them down,” she retorted.

“I apparently need the exercise,” I said pouting. “Though, if you could have sister send up some food for us when she comes up for her fitting, that would be good. I can handle the walk. It is my hand I hurt after all.”

Plus writing a note for my own breakfast order would infuriate me at the moment. She nodded but insisted to walk with me.

Walking up the stairs got me to breath a bit heavily. Was there this many stairs the first time too? Maybe I was breathing heavily then too but I just didn’t notice. Fricking warriors. So unfair.

“You okay sister?” Celeste asked.

“Yeah, just a bit… well, I guess I have always been a tad bit jealous of warriors,” I said.

She chuckled. “To think that someone so amazing could still feel jealously.”

“Hey! I’m still human you know!” I said.

“Rest assured, I meant it as a compliment,” she added.

Once at the top of the tower, Lillian seemed to smell the cracked bones in my hand as she instantly looked at it. “Sister Rosemary! What happened.”

I pouted a bit again. “I just over did a bit of warrior training.”

Sofia put her hand near her lips. “You are a warrior too sister?”

Grumpiness is me! Aaaa! I want Master to hold me now!

“No,” Celeste said. “It appears that is the source of her discontentment.”

“You want to be a warrior?” Lillian asked.

“Who wouldn’t wanna be! They are so cool!” I said rubbing my face where sister punched me yesterday. “Not all soft and squishy.”

“Drascilla grant me the power to heal our dear Rosemary,” Lillian said as she kissed my hand. The warm light filling me as my bones seemed to reconnect. “I happen to think you are amazing enough for three people just as you are.”

“So, we are ready to begin my measurements for the Lady of the Light outfit?” I asked trying to change the subject.

Sofia put her hand on her cheek. “Sort of. I don’t know how to the divine process works. Like do I need to sew with different methods? Can I do it normally and then have it be blessed?”

“Let’s ask her,” I said as I stretched out my newly healed hand. “Drascilla, I seek the favor I was told you would grant. Will you come here please.”

“Rosemary, is that… a bit simplistic as far as a prayer would be considered?” Lillian asked.

A flash emerged and Drascilla appeared before us. “Rosemary, I am quite curious what you plan to ask for, and how you plan to pay for it.”

I looked around and saw Sofia, and Lillian both already on their knees. Celeste was resisting and only let one knee tough the ground. That divinity was harsh. “Well, actually wanted your opinion. We are tasked with blessed cloth. Wondering if it would be better to bless it before or after it has been sewn?”

“I’ll just make you the divine outfits. That would-”

She fell to her knees gasping. I could see shimmers around her. I focused aura into my eyes to once again see the divide between realities. Oh. Drewchel was **** her. I considered commenting but a goddess like Drascilla could no doubt see and feel the split timeline.

Before the goddess of the future vanished, she blinked at me. Those girls have always been sweet on me. I wonder why they were stopping her from making cloth though? Well, it… no its best not to dwell on it. Even if I could figure it out, it would serve me no good if she was directly demanding a specific outcome.

At present the most meaningful thing I could do is get my hand on Jaka flowers. Drascilla eventually stood up. “Damn harpies. Well fine. I assume you don’t have materials for working with divine thread. So, instead of coming back. I will just do this,” she said as she pulled a few strands of her hair.

She walked over and grabbed Sofia’s hands and wrapped the thread around each one. She then held her hands closed over Sofia’s for a moment as light emitted from the goddess’ hands. This was some powerful magic. Though, I had a feeling I understood why she was doing it.

When it ended she looked at me. “So, I have blessed her hands. She can infuse divinity into clothing now. I am sure you understand the implications of this?”

I nodded. “You expect a big offering for it, am I right?”

She smiled. And with that, the light flashed and we were alone again. Though, I noticed something on the ground.

What was on the ground?
