Chapter 121 by Calamity_Jim

What the Future Holds

“I think we might be a little insane, Morgana,” you murmured, exhaustion weighing on your limbs as you nestled against your beautiful slime queen. Spooned against her cool, supple form, you wrapped your arms around her, resting a hand over her stomach—or at least, where her stomach would be if she had a human body.

Morgana let out a soft, thoughtful hum, her voice distant. “Most people in love are a little insane.”

Something in her tone gave you pause. “Everything okay?” You couldn’t see her expression, but you felt the slightest tremor run through her body. The silence stretched between you until, finally, she spoke again.

“Am I a bad partner?” Her voice quivered, barely above a whisper.

The question stunned you. Morgana was confident, powerful, even imperious at times—but now, she sounded so ****, so unsure.

You held her tighter. “No. You’re not a bad partner. Why would you even think that?”

She turned in your arms, not to escape but to meet your eyes. In the soft glow of the room, you saw uncertainty flickering in her usually steady gaze.

“You didn’t want a baby,” she confessed, her voice raw. “I got so caught up in my own desires that I just... overruled you. That’s not what a good partner does.”

You saw the shimmer of unshed tears in her eyes, felt the slight tremble of her form against you. The sight made your heart ache.

“Morgana, listen to me.” You cupped her face in your hand, tilting her chin so she couldn’t look away. “I never said I didn’t want a baby with you. I only wanted to wait a little longer. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t want this.”

She pressed into your touch, but still, she whispered, “But I **** you.”

You shook your head. “No, you didn’t. I know what it feels like to be taken advantage of. I was married to someone who lied to me, manipulated me, and left me broken. She didn’t love me. Not really. If I hadn’t met you, I don’t know if I’d even be here right now.” You swallowed hard. “Before you, I was drowning. You pulled me out of it. You showed me what love actually is. The day you decided to stow away in my duffel bag was the best damn day of my life.”

You let the walls of your mind fall, opening that deep bond between you, letting her feel the full **** of your emotions—the love, the gratitude, the devotion. You felt her shiver as it washed over her.

“You push me out of my comfort zone, and I don’t think that’s a bad thing,” you continued. “I trust you. If you think we’re ready for this, then I trust that too. And if I had truly, deeply objected? You would have known. You would have let me go.”

She let out a breath, her lips twitching upward in the smallest of smiles. “I wasn’t exactly gentle with my convincing.”

You smirked. “We both know **** play is something we enjoy. It was intense and amazing. And let’s be real, it’s not every day a goddess demands you breed her.”

That got a laugh out of her, soft and sweet.

“I really am happy, darling,” she murmured. “And I’m so glad you aren’t mad at me. It almost feels like a dream.”

She pulled back slightly, revealing her core. The normally smooth, luminous crystal had a small bud growing off of it, like a new formation branching outward. Unlike Morgana’s vibrant color, the new growth swirled with an inky black and deep purple hue, pulsating with its own gentle light.

Your breath caught. “That’s… that’s our baby?”

Morgana nodded, her gaze shining with pure joy. “She’s happy too.”

“She?”

“Monster girls can only produce daughters,” she explained, gently tracing the budding core with reverence. “And… I can hear her.”

You blinked. “You can hear her?”

She looked up at you, her expression impossibly tender. “Our cores are connected. I can hear her thoughts, her emotions. She’s excited to meet you.”

Your heart skipped a beat. “How long until she—?”

“A few weeks.”

You sat up so fast you nearly toppled over. “A few weeks?! That fast?! We’re not prepared! We don’t even have a nursery set up!”

Morgana laughed, placing a cool hand on your face. “Relax, pet. Slimes don’t grow the way humans do. When she’s ready to separate, she’ll already be able to walk, talk, and eat on her own. She just needs a special diet until her body stabilizes.”

You exhaled, trying to calm your racing thoughts. “Okay. Special diet. Got it. Just tell me what we need, and I’ll get it. If Lisbeth or I need to learn new recipes, we’ll do it. Whatever it takes.”

She smiled, her luminescent eyes full of love. “You don’t need to do anything, my love. Everything she needs is already right here.” She punctuated the statement with a firm squeeze of your balls. “I’m going to need to take in a lot of your delicious cum, if she’s going to grow strong. Why, I may have to squeeze your delicious essence every day. I mean, you’re cumming for two now.”

That made you laugh.

The two of you spent the rest of the day like that, shifting between throes of passion and restful conclusion. As you layed in bed after the final round of the afternoon, you thought about the future. Morgana had shown you the proof that you would become a father. You wondered how the others would take the news. You found yourself a bit nervous that proof of conception might cause a cascade of demands from the others…not that that wasn’t appealing. It was possible that Lexi was already was pregnant as well, but you found yourself thankful that devils apparently took longer than slimes to develop. Thinking further, your mind drifted onto the upcoming ritual. You needed to confer with Lexi on the details, and ask her about Elara’s desire.

The rigors of the day were catching up to you and, like your goddess, you soon drifted off to sleep.
