Chapter 286 by MrLarsBar MrLarsBar

What's next?

He knows

By the time it was ten o'clock, everybody was passed out. Aaron ensured no sex happened because he didn't want Chloe to potentially wake up and hear. Blowjobs and handjobs were fine but not sex.

< Tim: Yo.

< Tim: Bruce got a gift for you. It's at the batcave. You should come.

Bruce got him a gift…Well, why not? Aaron grabbed his jacket and snapped his fingers to clean himself. 'I should probably still be presentable. If he smells the **** off me, he'll probably think I fucked Cass or something.'

He didn't teleport to Wayne Manor. What was the point? Plus, he didn't want to become too reliant on it.

So off he went. An hour later, he was at Wayne Manor. The sky was dark and the manor was darker. The clouds above were grey and hazy. The atmosphere seemed almost breathless.

The door was unlocked. Wayne Manor could scan fingerprints and opened the door to those who were allowed. Aaron was also in the system.

No one was inside. He assumed Tim and Bruce were down in the BatCave. He went upstairs to the grandmother clock that functioned as the secret gateway. Aaron waited. He didn't understand the intricacies of it but the clock would only move if he was a member of the Bat Family. Otherwise, he needed Batman's permission.

The grandfather clock shifted. Aaron promptly went in. He wondered what Bruce wanted to give him.

'Huh…that's strange.' Going down the stairs, he ended up at the foot of the almighty BatComputer.

He blinked, his senses sharpening.

Then he fell.

In a split second, everything changed. A sudden shockwave rippled through the air and Aaron fell to his knees. His eyes widened in confusion and disbelief as he felt an invisible **** enveloping him, slowing him down to a total stop, and sapping away his connection to the Speed ****.

Panic flickered in their eyes as they tried to understand what was happening to them.

"It can't be..." Aaron couldn't move. He could barely breathe. On one knee, he struggled to move or do much of anything.

His eyes focused. Yellow electricity materialized.

His heart pounded in his chest. He craned his neck an inch to the side. Two machines had flanked him from the sides, erupted from the ground

He could see it now, it was some sort of Speed **** dampener.

Aaron tried to tap into the Speed **** once more, but it was like running against an invisible wall. Forget super speed, the very motion powering his body had left him. Aaron felt powerless, ****, and confused.

Thump, thump.

Heavy metal boots made footsteps. Aaron turned his head and saw him. Metallic armour, black with red stripes, a cape shaped like bat wings, a beaming red visor, and exuding energies that no human should possess.

That Batman shouldn't possess.

"So." Batman's voice was seemingly spoken through a voice modulator. "The Chosen One has finally come to a stop."

Aaron narrowed his eyes. 'So he knows.'

What's next?
