Chapter 18 by Kinje Kinje

What's next?

Blue's Quests (Day 3)(1/8)

Kevin woke up feeling more refreshed than he had in a long time.

In the end, while Elsie had offered sex the night before, he had turned down anything beyond the—it was hard to even think of it as a blowjob.

She asked me to use her like a sex toy, and not only did I accept, but she came from having me fuck her face. I didn’t want to accept that Lily was going to push us into things that obviously, but that was–

It was incredible, is what it was, and Kevin was having a hard time reconciling that with his initial goal of not abusing the authority Lily had placed in his hands. He felt his body begin to react to his memories of the younger English woman’s lips wrapped around the base of his dick—and the look on her face when she’d been cumming her brains out as a result.

Lily’s work is insidious. She might not be an amazing DM, but she’s setting us up to get what she wants regardless.

With that somewhat ominous thought in mind, he pulled himself up to a sitting position and looked around. While he hadn’t accepted sex with Elsie, snuggling had been a different matter. The brownie had curled up contentedly in his arms as the little spoon after an hour of talking through some of her thoughts and plans on how to best approach the other women the hostess had brought in to the party.

Elsie had grouped them into three categories—Hazel and Stheno as the two who would be easiest to approach outright, Penny and Tess as the two most likely to need emotional support, and Hwa and Blue as special cases who were hard to plan for.

As much as Kevin agreed with Elsie that trying to get everyone working together was the right approach—Lily had said as much, even, and he had no doubt she fully intended to **** their hand eventually—he was also concerned that trying to just bring everyone around to her way of thinking was a dead-end. Not only would it sound creepy if he walked up to Hwa and tried to explain why she was better off having sex with him voluntarily, it was as likely to drive her away as it was to get her on-board.

The brownie was still asleep, though she had sprawled out at some point in the night. For being the shortest member of the party, the petite English woman was taking up a surprising amount of the bed. The covers had slipped down and her bare chest was still exposed to the morning sunlight as it streamed in through the windows. Elsie might not have had Hazel’s massive breasts, or even the mature lush curves that Penny and Hwa offered, but the perky handfuls that she sported were mouthwatering enough that he almost reached for them on instinct.

With his hand hovering a few inches away, he stopped. Elsie had offered herself up to Kevin the night before, and he couldn’t fault her reasoning, but the thought of feeling up an **** girl didn’t feel right, even with the permission he had given her.

It made it all the more surprising when she reached up and grabbed his wrist to guide it to her chest. His fingers closed over taut, smooth flesh, and Elsie let out a sleepy little moan of pleasure.

A moment later, her eyes shot open. Golden smoke poured from them and she moaned again, loudly. Her body began to tremble, but when Kevin tried to pull his hand away so he could roll over and check on her, he found her grip surprisingly strong.

Then, just as abruptly, she relaxed back on the bed. Her grip on his wrist went limp and she sprawled out again, then slowly began to writhe under the covers. “Fuck, that was intense. Alright, my morning visions: First, Hwa on her knees. She was begging you for something but I don’t know what it was. I think it’s supposed to be an opportunity for you to get something out of her, but she looked furious about it.”

Kevin nodded. That sounded like something Lily would try to arrange, but he couldn’t make any real plans for it without more information. “And the second?” Only after he spoke did he realize he was still feeling up the English woman’s breast. She hadn’t complained, and the puffy nipple was already stiff against his palm, but he still jerked back out of reflex.

The motion drew another quiet gasp from Elsie as he inadvertently rubbed against the sensitive nub in the process, and she squirmed under the covers again. “You don’t have to stop if you don’t want. That felt really good. Second one was you cumming on Stheno face. I don’t know where, or why, only that she looked happy about it.”

“Were you in either of them?”

Kevin didn’t take Elsie up on her offer immediately, and she didn’t press the issue, but neither did she attempt to cover her chest. Instead, she shook her head and explained, “No. They aren’t that clear, it’s more like—I’m receiving impressions of everyone. Yesterday, my vision told me that it would feel great to have you fuck my throat like you did, but also that you’d enjoy it. Same kind of thing here. I could feel your cum on my face and it felt like a burden was lifting.”

She shrugged, and Kevin did his best to focus on the deeper meaning of the visions rather than the fact that they foretold having the party member who seemed most hostile to him on her knees in front of him. The fact that the other one involved Stheno, whose name he’d first read in a book on classical Greek mythology, getting a facial from him was almost too surreal to contemplate.

“Alright. Well—I’m going to order breakfast, do you want–”

Elsie shook her head. “Nope. C’mon, you can’t just stay up here all day. Sitting in your room to prep might work when you’re running a campaign, but you’re the party leader, Kevin. Like it or not. You’ve got a responsibility. Come get breakfast with me in The Long Rest, it’ll give you the chance to actually get some face to face time with everyone else.”

Kevin hesitated for a moment, but then nodded. “Yeah, okay, I can see the logic. Give me a minute to get dressed.”

“I’m going to go on ahead. I’ll meet you there.”

Fifteen minutes later, Kevin was surprised to discover that Elsie not only hadn’t made it to The Long Rest ahead of him, she’d barely taken ten steps outside of the antechamber of the castle. She was standing in the courtyard next to Blue while the distractingly attractive harpy woman showed her the glowing screen of her character sheet as it hovered over her wrist.

Before he could find out what that was about, though, the other two people in the courtyard stepped forward, one clearly more **** than the other.

“So, Kevin–” Penny’s voice was gentle, but there was a teasing smile on her lips that made him immediately suspicious—particularly since the woman beside her was Hwa. The kumiho was no longer wearing the slinky black dress that Lily had given her, but had replaced it instead with a corset and skirts that wouldn’t have looked out of place at a Halloween burlesque show. It put her sizable chest very much on display, all the more-so when she swept herself into a deep curtsy.

She started talking, but as he hadn’t thought to kiss Elsie prior to departing the master suite that morning, he couldn’t understand a word of it. Penny took a moment to realize the problem, then glanced around. “Shit. My translation thing—tongues—is on cooldown from talking to Stheno this morning. Elsie–”

The brownie turned when she heard her name mentioned. “Just used mine on Blue, sorry.”

For a brief moment, Kevin actually found himself disappointed that he’d been slow getting out of his room. If he’d been a little faster, he might have watched—

His train of thought was cut off when strong hands grabbed his head and pulled him forward. Lips pressed against his own, hot and wet, and a tongue slipped into his mouth. He stiffened at the sudden onslaught, started to relax, then went rigid when his eyes opened enough to realize what he was looking at.

While Hwa’s mouth might have been inviting, her black eyes were open and staring at him as she kissed him to activate the translation spell Lily had given them all access to. Kevin didn’t dare pull away from the kumiho, even as he found himself enjoying the strangely spicy taste of her mouth as the kiss stretched on, and on.

When she finally pushed him away, the expression on Hwa’s face was dark, but she took a steadying breath and then recited, “Kevin, I am sorry that I accused you of working with the nightmare witch. You are as much a victim of her vile manipulations as the rest of us, and you should not be condemned for falling to the power of one so far above you.”

He stared in shock at the kumiho, only to watch her raise her arm so she could pull up her character sheet. From behind, the words were indecipherable to Kevin, but the scowl on her face told him that she was not happy with what she saw. Before he could ask, she shot him another glare and her eyes seemed to again flash with an inner red light as Hwa added, “I apologize for telling you that I believed you to be beneath me.”

She looked at the words on her character sheet one more time, grit her teeth, and added, “You are not. I was wrong. Will you forgive me?”

Kevin stared at Hwa. Up until the last few words, he had believed everything that she said, despite her obvious irritation at being **** into the apology. Her last statements rang hollow, though, and he wound up staring at her suspiciously.

When she began to lower herself to her knees, however, he had a sudden revelation. A glance over at Elsie showed that she had recognized the scene she’d described to him earlier, but her expression was impassive, as though to say, ‘Handle it how you want.’

“I forgive you.” Kevin blurted the words out as quickly as he could, while Hwa was gathering up her skirts but before she had lowered herself to the ground. He was surprised to find that he meant it, too, as he added. “You were in a very stressful situation. I don’t think I would’ve handled it any better, honestly.”

It was Hwa’s turn to regard him with suspicion. She cautiously checked her character sheet and sagged slightly in relief, before drawing herself upright once more. It took a moment for her expression to settle into neutrality again, at which point she turned to Penny and informed the other woman, “I am going to see if the selkie has emerged from her room yet.”

Then she turned and began to walk out of the castle courtyard without another word to anyone else present. Kevin and Penny watched her go, while Elsie continued to point at things on Blue’s character sheet, until the kumiho was out of sight. The blonde singer then let out a quiet laugh, and explained, “She got poisoned yesterday. If she doesn’t apologize to one person a day, she loses a bunch of HP. She’s going to try to get rid of as much of it as she can so that if she misses a day, it’s not as bad.”

Kevin nodded. “That makes sense.” Then he paused, and turned to face the siren more directly. Something about her tone stood out, and when he studied her face he realized she was holding back a grin. “You knew. You could have just told me, without making her go through all of that, couldn’t you?”

Penny shrugged. “Eh, maybe. I figure apologizing is good for her. Hwa isn’t handling this as well as some of us. I’m still not sure about the whole thing myself, but I’m not ready to hold your feet to the fire over it. As far as I can tell, we’re all stuck here together, I don’t think fighting amongst ourselves is going to lead to anything good.”

“And you thought the best way to do that was to make a woman who wants to eat my liver kiss me? And you were prepared to let her get on her knees and beg forgiveness?” Kevin couldn’t keep the incredulity out of his voice.

“Think of it as a test for you, too. You didn’t seem to mind getting kissed, either. At first, at least. Mostly, though, it let me get a feel for how you’ll handle things.”

It was Kevin’s turn to nod. “If I’d used this to **** a concession out of Hwa, you’d know not to trust me with things like this in the future.” He gestured over at Elsie. “If she hadn’t given me a warning about it thanks to her visions this morning, it would’ve taken me a lot longer to figure out what was going on. Would you have held that against me?”

Penny thought for a moment. “Not necessarily, but you’re right, it would probably have affected how I thought about you.” She brought a finger to her mouth, pursed her lips, and tapped them idly as she pondered, then concluded, “I probably wouldn’t have held it against you, exactly, but it’s a good sign that you were willing to listen to one of us when we told you something. Anyway–”

She flashed him a quick smile. “I’ve got a quest I want to get to at the bard guild hall. Stheno asked me to tell you that she has a quest she’ll need your help with, but she didn’t tell me any more than that. She said she’d be in The Long Rest for lunch, though, if you want to meet up with her there.”

The siren waved and turned to follow the same path Hwa had taken, and Kevin was left to call out at her departing figure, “Thanks, Penny! I want to talk to you more soon—can we get a drink?”

Without turning, she called back, “Tomorrow. You’ve got me all night!”

He felt a strangely giddy sense of excitement bubble up within him. Kevin was actually pretty used to talking to people, even strangers—he’d run his fair share of games at various local conventions, after all, but he’d never been good at asking girls on dates. Something about Penny just seemed far more approachable than most women he’d known in his life. The words had just slipped out from him on instinct, and not only had they sounded confident, she’d accepted!

Kevin still had a slightly goofy smile on his lips when he realize Elsie had turned her head and was watching him with an amused expression. She turned and said something quiet to Blue, then walked closer. “Hey—I know we were planning on talking to Stheno together, but I think you’re going to be on your own. Blue loaded herself up with, like, a dozen quests yesterday, and I’m worried about what will happen if she just sits on them. I’m not sure they’ll time out, or anything, but it seems like the kind of thing Lily would absolutely do, so–”

“Shit. Do you need me to help?”

The English girl shook her head. “No. I don’t think so, anyway. Let me try to take care of this—let me show you that I can be a useful tool outside of the bedroom too. We still need to get breakfast, but after that I’ll try to gather as many party members as I can manage and tackle some of Blue’s quests. If it looks like any of them need you in particular, I’ll let you know, but otherwise you should probably focus on Stheno today.”

“Fair enough.” Kevin turned towards Blue, and asked curiously, “Why did you take so many quests?”

The harpy shrugged her bare shoulders, then turned the motion into a rolling stretch. Her lightly feathered arms reached high over her head as she interlocked her fingers together, and Kevin couldn’t help but notice that it was as though the motion was designed to draw attention to her newly sculpted body—especially since her outfit still didn’t cover much of it. “Seemed interesting. I’d talk to people and they’d ask for things, but promise rewards. I like getting rewarded.”

Elsie’s eyes flicked to the harpy, then looked back to Kevin, and a faint smile touched the brownie’s lips. Kevin thought about asking her what she was thinking, but since she hadn’t volunteered any information, he decided he’d let her explain on her own time. Instead, he nodded at Blue, “I’m—look, let me know if you need me to help. I’m happy to, but it’s also obvious that this place was set up so there’s too much for me to do it all.”

“You can rely on us, party leader.” Elsie chimed in with a smile. Then she stepped closer, into Kevin’s personal space, and added, “Just in case I get tied up all day helping Blue, I want to make my offer very explicitly clear. Last night, I went to your room because it was my night with you, but what I offered was my own choice. I need you to be clear-headed, and able to do your best to help everyone work together. Tonight, or any other night that you need it, you can call me up to your room and use me, especially if it’s the choice between that or pressuring someone else.”

The emphasis the English girl put on ‘use me’ sent a shiver down Kevin’s spine. She sounded like she not only meant her offer, but was actually hoping he would take her up on it. She bit her lower lip nervously, and he couldn’t help himself—he leaned down to brush his lips against hers in a soft kiss. “I’ll—I’ll think about it. Okay? I understand your logic, but I’m still struggling with the ethics of this whole thing.”

“Yes, sir. I understand, but—don’t forget me in the moment.” She pushed herself up on her tiptoes to give him a quick kiss of her own, then stepped away. “So, let’s go get food before we split up, yeah? I’m starving. Ooh, and coffee—did you know they have coffee here?”

“Of course they do—I had players who would riot if their characters weren’t allowed to get their morning cup. I thought you English drank tea anyway, though.”

“Tea is for afternoons. When I have to get up before noon, coffee fuels me. Let’s go.”

Where do the players go next?
