Where Next?
Early Sunday Afternoon
For the next hour and a half I waited patiently for Lacey to come out. Finally as I started to get really bored, the congregation started to come out, Lacey in the third wave of people. She returned to Hayden, making her way back to Maguire Street, once more stopping to look in the window of the little bakery.
This time though, Lacey actually went in. I made it there just fast enough to see Lacey walk towards the back of the main room, where a few tables were set up as a small cafe section. She stopped at a table, sitting down so her back was to the window, as if she didn’t want to be identified. Whoever she sat across, reached over and maybe it was just the way I was looking, made Lacey shiver from their touch.
I considered going in and getting something so I could take a seat in the little area but just as I thought about what to get, Lacey shot to her feet and practically ran out of the bakery, going right past me as if I wasn’t even there. She didn’t stop running until she was back at Phi Theta Angelis.
Now normally an hour would pass before I would either get through to Lacey or she would call me. Looking at my watch, I saw that I had at least half an hour to get back to Phi Phelta Thigh. I took right off and placed the ten speed back in the garage then returned to my dorm room. One o’clock rolled around and I was staring at my cell phone wishing it to ring. When it didn’t, by one fifteen, I dialed Lacey’s number.
Four rings later, it was answered. “Hello Andrew, I’m sorry but I’m not in the mood to talk today!” She didn’t even wait for me to reply, just disconnected the call and left me stunned.
Lacey was the only person to use my complete first name, Most of my frat brothers called me Andy. What the hell happened in the bakery that left her so upset. I thought about what I could do and then it came to me to be a good boyfriend and go to her and comfort her and maybe I just might get a glimpse of her tits and bare ass!
Back to the garage I went getting the same Ten speed and sat off for the Phi Theta Angelis sorority house. All the way there I pictured Lacey laying on her bed, crying, in dire need of someone strong to comfort her.
