First Day Out

They woke up the next morning, cuddled for a little bit before going to the bathroom to brush their teeth and freshen up before going down to the breakfast hall hand in hand.

Victoria spotted Kate Marsh over in the corner. She was one of the many people who she fucked over constantly in her mean girl phase and if she was serious about changing then some apologies are needed.

“Hey, why don’t you find a table, I’ll grab a tray for you. I just need to talk to someone real quick.”

“Alright, don’t take too long though. I’m starving.” And with a quick peck on the cheek Max walked off to an empty table.

Victoria walked over to Kate, and a little apprehensive, said “Hey Kate, can I talk to you real quick?”

Kate sighed and looked at Victoria before saying “Whatever comments you have about me today Chase I’m not in the mood. Just leave me alone.”

“I’m not here to make any comments Kate. I wanted to apologise for everything I’ve done to you. You didn’t deserve any of it, I was trying to impress the wrong people and you got caught in the crossfire, and for that you have my deepest apologies.”

“If you’re expecting me to forgive you-”

“I’m not, at least not yet. I hope someday you can but I understand that day may never come. I just want you to know that I’m done being that stuck up, rich, mean bitch and I will do anything I can to prove to you that I’m for real on that.”

“What brought about this change in character, if you don’t mind me asking?”

“I found the person that I wanted to change for.” And for a brief moment her eyes flicked across the hall to Max.

Kate saw this and looked Victoria in the eye “Max was there for me in my darkest hour. She literally saved my life. If you hurt her in any way shape or form I will not stop until your life is over."

"I have no intention of hurting her. She's the best thing that's happened to me and I’m trying my best not to fuck this up.” Victoria took a deep breath before saying “but seriously, if you need anything, don’t be afraid to ask.”

“I’ll keep that offer in mind, even if I don’t quite forgive or trust you yet, the fact that Max does gives me hope that someday I will too. I’ll see you around Chase.”

“See you around Kate.” And with that, Victoria went over to the line, picked up two breakfast trays and walked over to Max.

“Thanks babe.” Max kissed Victorias cheek as she sat down “How did your chat with Kate go?”

“It went… fairly well. There was a vague threat to ruin my life if I hurt you but that’s understandable.”

Max chuckled and they both ate their breakfast in a comfortable silence before heading to their photographer class with their new teacher, since Jefferson was arrested for his multitude of crimes.
