What do you use to open the gate?
A Pistol (Swashbuckler) (Chaotic Good)

The collection here is impressive to say the least. More weapons in one place than you've ever seen before. The closest you would have seen is heraldic arms attached to a wall, and those were decorative, where these are all clearly functional, and made by skilled smiths and luthiers. This brings even greater focus and significance to what pulls your attention. Supported by two long nails against the wall, a gun was placed on display in this menagerie collection. The construction of such weapons are held as close secrets by the Dwarves, although the different holds have their own styles and approaches. This one, a pistol of significant size and stopping power, would be more than enough to put down most garden variety pests and obstacles. With the right alterations, the noise alone would be enough a warning to keep away.
For someone like you, this is perfect. It's identical to the weapon you've held for a long time. You take it and look it over, inspecting it for any deviations or flaws, and find none. On reflex, you moved the pistol to your side to holster it, and found it's home. The action caused you to reel for a moment. You were no longer in that strange room, nor were you naked. The latter was less of an issue, admittedly. A stark naked elf along the road would attract the necessary attention for your mission, especially with a body such as yours.
The mission? Robbery. You were a highwayman, of sorts, finding and attacking the filthy rich, taking whatever beautiful baubels or trinkets were to your liking, and selling the rest. It kept you in a comfortable life, fueling your taste for the extravagant. Such a target now approached, a carriage with all the markings of the aristocracy. You took your hiding place, utilizing an immense oak tree as cover. What possible treasure lay inside gave you as much excitement as considering what pompous entitled leech you might be preying upon.
All you could do now is wait, and see...
