What Suzie wants
Suzie gets it.
“Suzie, did you hear the question?” Mrs. Carter asked.
Suzie pulled her hand off Scott's leg, “I’m sorry, I kind of spaced out.” Her face was a bit red.
“Marissa asked about your plans for New York.”
“Sorry, yeah, I am going to NYU for the spring semester, I was still too young to get in for the fall semester, so I had to wait.”
“Oh wow, so you really just turned 18.”
“Yeah, couple weeks ago.”
Scott felt weird, He knew she had just turned 18 when he returned, but hearing her say it reminded him of how many more experiences he had than she did. With his time in the military, his marriage, divorce, it felt like he turned 18 a lifetime ago.
“What are you going into?”
“Pre-law, probably business law or maybe contract law like dad.”
“Wow, I did not have you pegged as a future lawyer, Suzie.”
“Why not,” Doug said, “She was valedictorian of her class, captain of the debate club, they even won states.”
“Doug.” Suzie cried.
“What Suz, seriously, you need to stop being embarrassed of being smart.”
“Nobody likes a smart girl.” She muttered under her breath.
“Some people do.” Scott whispered to her, then kissed her on the cheek.
“Whoa now, what was that?” Mrs. Carter cried, “Is there something we should know?”
“Mom, don’t, please.”
“What Suzanne, if there’s something going on with the two of you, you can tell me.”
Scott didn’t know what to say, he needed to talk to Suzie.
“I’m sorry Mrs. Carter, nothing to report right now.” Scott said, hoping that would be enough to change the subject.
Mrs. Carter just glared at him, she clearly didn’t believe him.
Fortunately, Marissa saved them. “I think it’s really cool that you’re going to school in New York, Suzie, any plans for after college?”
“Well, law school, but after that, not really, it’s so far in the future.”
“You really should consider what Robert offered you Suzie.”
“I know dad, but even 160 thousand up front to lock up 4 years of work isn’t that great of a deal. I can handle student loans, I don’t want to lock myself into living in New York for the next decade.”
Scott was honestly surprised, he’d never seen this side of Suzie, she was always flirty and silly, often doing dumb stuff to get his attention or convince him she was mature. He didn’t know she was that smart or motivated. He felt more than a little out of his league.
No wonder she just wants a fling before she heads to New York. He thought.
The rest of dinner went smoothly, when Scott volunteered to do the dishes, Suzie offered to help.
“You going to actually help this time?” Scott asked her.
“Are you going to take off your shirt this time?” She shot back.
“So you’ll pull your weight if I take off my shirt?”
“I’ll do all kinds of things.”
Scott looked at her, “Is washing dishes one of them?”
“Only one way to find out.”
Scott looked at her, she smiled back, biting her lip.
“Alright.” He said, and pulled his shirt off.
“Oh my god, Scott, I can’t believe you.” Suzie said.
“Well, you got what you wanted, are you going to help now?”
She walked over to him, grabbed a towel, but she didn’t start drying the dishes, she just ran her hands over his chest.
“Suzie.”
“What, I’m putting in work.”
He gave her a look.
“You know you like it.” She said, her smile growing bigger.
“Seriously?”
Suzie gave him a snarky look, ran her hands down to over his stomach. “Are you going to wash these dishes or are we going to just stand in the kitchen all night?”
“Okay, you win.” Scott said and he continued washing.
“Mmhm,” Suzie purred, hugging him from behind and running her hands over his chest and abs. “I always win.”
Scott scoffed. He wasn’t going to fight her here; he had better ways to pay her back.
“Okay, you guys can’t tell me you aren’t anything now.” It was Marissa.
“What?” Suzie asked.
“Yeah, you can play dumb after feeling him up at dinner, but this?”
Suzie blushed. “What, you never had a boy toy?”
Scott gave Suzie a look over his shoulder, she smiled at him and dropped her hands lower.
“Wow.” Marissa said. “I was going to ask if you guys wanted to watch a movie when you are done with the dishes.”
“Sounds fun.” Suzie replied.
“Okay, you want us to wait for you?”
“If that’s okay with you, Scott isn’t very fast with the dishes.” She slipped her hand over his crotch and kissed him on his back.
“Yeah, he seems kinda distracted.”
Suzie laughed. “It’s hard to find good help these days.” Suzie was practically grinding on his leg as she said it.
“Yeah, okay.” Marissa said as she turned to walk back down the stairs. “Wow.”
“You okay back there Suzie?” Scott was amused by how she escalated the situation as she teased him, but he was still going to get her back.
“Mhm, you almost done?”
“You know you could help if you want this to go faster.”
“You don’t appreciate me motivating you?” She was kissing his shoulder blade, running her hands all over him, pressing into his back.
Scott didn’t say anything, he was almost done with the dishes anyway.
Suzie did put the dishes away as Scott dried them, but when they went downstairs the movie was already going.
“You didn’t wait for us? Suzie said, carrying her oversized blanket down the stairs.
“You took forever.” Doug said.
“Yeah, well, your friend here is slow.”
“Yeah, I heard, at least he found his shirt.” Doug gave Scott a look, clearly wondering why Scott would let Suzie get away with all that. Scott just smiled back.
How will Scott respond?
