Chapter 1421 by Fiftyfiftyfifty Fiftyfiftyfifty

What do you do?

Continue watching.

Queen Catherine II, Lady Malakae Vraelion, and the thieving couple Pepper and Ginny stand not far from the front gates to the castle itself. With a horn in his hand, King Thadius casts an angry gaze down from the rooftop. Guards surround the area. Whether or not they're hesitant due to the confusion and danger, or because they still aren't certain what to make of Catherine's presence, they keep their distance for the time being. Either way, it isn't long before their Golden Knight catches up.

Smoldering, yet without a hint of pain on his face, the ELIS stops behind them. They're pincered.

"Thadius!" the queen shouts from below. "Your incorrect, venomed words of my demise and treachery do nothing but speak to your character of being a snake. While you may have poisoned me, took my throne, and all for a Demon King promising you power, I am here now. The one you follow is about to fall. Everything is crumbling down around you. Soon, my people will see through your deceit, and I will begin fixing all you have broken."

The king throws his horn down to his feet. He leans over the edge, and shouts with his own voice back at her. "It is your word against mine, Catherine. I see no reason to continue to discuss. Golden Knight, eliminate them!"

Pepper grabs Ginny's arm and pulls her in close. "We weren't supposed to end up in an actual fight. This isn't fair."

"If it's just the gold guy, I think we can win. The problem is all the knights watching us. There's no doubt they see me as a traitor too, thanks to my father. We're not the most trustworthy to the people here anymore," Malakae says. "But once Kyle wins, and word spreads, everyone will know. We just need to survive."

"You're right," Catherine replies. "We need--" Her eyes peer back down the street from the direction they came.

In the sky, the chunky metallic dragon soars. Beneath them rolls the army that it previously released. There's nobody to fight it. The guards have been informed they fight on the same side. Dozens of copper spheres, serpents, and more, march behind the ELIS, shadowed by the dragon-like automaton above them. But to make matters even worse, somebody else emerges from that army--a familiar face, especially to Malakae.

Lord Baspiax Vraelion is here. Her father moves ahead of the rest, and joins the ELIS at his side.

"F-Father. Why? Leave us alone! We already beat you once, so go crawl under a rock if you don't have the pride to think for yourself. All you do is bend over for Elok Daven, King Thadius, whoever. Be your own man!" Malakae screams. "I'm so sick of it!"

Lord Vraelion furls his brow. "You know so little of how things work. You're nothing but a child still."

"You think I'm a child?!" She wraps her hands around her breasts and squeezes. "You can't be serious!"

Catherine whispers to them. "We need to get inside. This is a poor place for us to make our stand."

Pepper and Ginny look to each other.

Ginny nods. "Let's get the door open."

"We are pretty sneaky," Pepper responds.

While the two bunnies hop away, Catherine and Malakae look to the army surrounding them. However, there is a distinct lack of power. Plenty of guards left Tolis to go defend Avana. There are plenty of people who were never all right with King Thadius taking the throne. On top of that, much of Elok Daven's forces are elsewhere too. It may be too much for the two of them to fight, but if it wasn't for Malakae's father and the ELIS beside him, it would be far from impossible. With them, however, things feel grim.

Then a voice calls out from above. "Tri-Beam Barrage!" A shine of blue soars overhead. It's a hefty beast. Something atop its back casts a spell, and suddenly a series of lasers similar to what Malakae let loose earlier crash down over the army of automatons, as well as the two ahead. The artillery strike consists not just of fire, however, but lightning as well, and ice. The triple threat of elemental attacks shrouds the area in dust and smoke as many of the combatants are fried.

Upon closer inspection, the beast is a blue dragon, which proceeds to crash into the one of metal. On its back is an old man with a long grey beard and a wooden staff. "I suppose it's about time I do something," says Ealdorman. "Go now!"
