But it's all about the execution.

Madison looked over the two bodies in front of her critically. Erica and Cecil stood side-by-side in Ross's living room, nude and expressionless. She circled around them, checking them from every angle. Finally she turned to Andrew.

"So you want me to make this," she gestured to the portly man, "look like that?"

He nodded. "Do you think you can do it?"

"Of course I can," she said. "But it'll take time. This isn't just adding a few wrinkles or updating a hairstyle. It's a complete overhaul - I'll almost have to start from scratch. Did you get me the resculpting tools I need?"

He motioned to a small valise on the couch. She opened it and rifled through it briefly.

"Chisel set, brush set, burin... for work this heavy I'm gonna need a trowel and some support pipes too."

Andrew was writing her requests down on a small notepad. "Anything else?"

"Yeah. Get some development stones and markers and a bit of twine. Oh, and a small mallet."

"Got it," he said. "Think you can get started while I go grab that stuff?"

"I can work on some of the finer details like the face, but I'll need to get going on the body soon if I'm gonna have her ready by Monday."

"That's crucial," Andrew reminded her. "She can't miss any classes."

Madison picked up a small tool that looked like some sort of dentist's apparatus and began looping it around the ring on Chambers' finger. "Then I suggest you leave me to my work and go get the tools I need."

Ross walked out of his bedroom late Saturday morning and was immediately impressed with Madison's work. He wasn't happy about his apartment being used as a golem warehouse and resculpting facility, but he had to admit that the process was fascinating. A small tarp was stretched across half of his living room floor, and three figures stood on it: the immobile Erica, an equally immobile form that was roughly the same size and shape as her, and Madison, who was using her thumbs to massage its right calf.

"Nice work, babe!" he said as he entered the kitchen to get a cup of coffee.

"I'm not your babe," Madison replied with mild irritation. "I'm a skilled resculptor and I'm trying to do a job."

"Sorry, I forgot," Ross said as he eyed the empty carafe with disappointment. "Guess I'm still waking up. I suppose it's not part of your duties to make coffee either?"

She didn't bother with a response so he set up the coffee maker and walked in to take a closer look at her progress.

The former Dr. Chambers was completely unrecognizable. His frame was now taller, slimmer, and decidedly more feminine. It looked like a competent but unfinished sketch of a beautiful woman below the neck, but the head was featureless and hairless. The previous evening Madison had explained curtly that the face was the last piece she intended to work on. Ross bent to inspect the right foot, which was fully formed and indistinguishable from the original.

"It's really coming along," he said. "Do you think you'll be ready by Monday?"

"Yes," she said. "Are you planning to help or just stand around asking stupid questions?"

He straightened up and headed toward the kitchen. "I can't wait to get Madison back," he grumbled to himself.

"I am Madison," the sculptor called from the living room. "And I can't wait till you deactivate me and rebind me to whatever script finds you tolerable."
