Chapter 6 by Ggnt Ggnt

What's next?

Percy for a day

Piper woke up early, she was too excited to sleep in. Today she was going to test drive Percy out in the real world. In fact the first thing she did after getting out of bed was strip down and touch the photo. Piper had never had any doubts that she was a woman, she never suffered any thoughts of gender dysmorphia. She'd had the occasional thought of wondering what it would be like to be a guy, but not frequently and not in any kind of obsessive manor. Just like when she got her period like, uh 'I wish I didn't have to go through this.' Or when she watched a porn video and saw the guy jerking off, 'I wonder how it's different for him'. Or when some creep old guy calls her sweet cheeks or some bullshit like that, 'He'd never say that to a guy'. That sort of thing.

So when she had the chance to play Percy for the day, it wasn't to fulfill some deep seated desire to experience life as a man. It was curiosity, plain and simple. Now Percy was her friend so she wasn't going to go wild like her inner pervert demanded, but she still had a lot planned. First, masturbate. Because why not? It's what she would have done in her own body, and it was still a fun, new experience in his. Second, shave. Percy had been trying to grow a beard for years. He had been failing to grow a beard for years, and frankly it looked stupid. He thought he had a bit of a baby face and the facial hair made him look older. It didn't. In fact Piper thought it made him look younger, and she'd told him so to his face. Now she could prove it to him. Percy never put much effort into her personal appearance but Piper thought with just a little effort he could actually be quite attractive. For that matter she took one look at him in the mirror and decided to get a haircut. It felt silly wasting money on that, but again this was for Percy. She wanted to show him what he could look like.

Of course there's no barber's open at this time in the morning, but the gym is. She put on workout clothes she'd taken from Percy and headed off. Percy did not go to the gym, it's possible that he's never been at all. Piper wasn't one to judge, she didn't go often herself. Still, there was no doubt that Percy was stronger than her. She just wanted to pick up a heavy weight for fun.

After a bit of trying to downgraded her ideal of what a heavy weight actually was. A 60 lb dumbell is heavy, but so is a 30 lb one and Percy's body can actually lift the latter. She was having fun trying things out and had been at the gym for almost half an hour when she realized something. Not a single person had said anything to her. Some of the gym bros there had given her nods or grunts of acknowledgement as she went by, but nobody bothered her, nobody said a word. Piper knew she wasn't attractive. She was short. She was flat. She was pretty plain. But she was still a woman. She'd never been to the gym before without a man talking to her. Sometimes they came to criticize what she was doing, or offer 'advice'. Sometimes they tried hitting on her, although not as often as she witnessed some other women suffer that. A lot of them would ask when she was done with the machine, rather impatiently too. Now? She saw guys waiting for her to finish, patiently, then respectfully nod and take over when she was done. Piper had a great time, maybe she should start working out more often? If only there was a women's only gym nearby.

She showered at the gym, secretly hoping to see some naked guys. Unfortunately nobody else went through while she was there. She did see some guys take off their shirts in the changing room, so that was a plus. She did her best to look 'incidentally' so that they would think Percy was some sort of pervert. She was pretty sure she got away with it.

Afterwards she managed to snag the first appointment of the day at the on campus barber. Percy's hair was totally overgrown. He basically just let it grow naturally until it got in his eyes too much, then he'd take a few inches off. He didn't style it, or comb it. Heck, she wasn't even sure how often he washed it. Well, that was about to change. She went for a radical new look, chopping most of it off, shaving the side low and leaving some on top to style for a more modern look. Then she headed back to her apartment to change into the nicer outfit she'd taken from Percy.

Percy claimed to have bought the slacks because they were a really good sale price, but had never actually worn them. Piper had to iron them, and the shirt, but after she put them on and looked in the mirror she felt a strange sensation. She looked down and saw a tent in her pants. "Oh...Percy's turning me on?" This was weird. People might normally look in the mirror and think, Damn I'm hot, or something like that. They didn't normally actually arouse themselves. But this wasn't her body. Her mind was just looking at a good looking man. She looked down at her erection again and swatted it, "Go away you..." Were dicks always this inconvenient?

Anyway it seemed to go away on it's own after a few minutes. She took a selfie and sent it to Percy. Then she went out and headed downtown. She didn't have class until the afternoon today so it was the perfect day to explore as Percy. There were lots of things she wanted to do here, but first...coffee.

"Good morning, what can I get started for you?" The barista asked with a smile, but it seemed a little ****.

Piper tried smiling. She went for something that was a little bit flirty, although she wasn't sure if she succeeded. That's because one of the thing she wanted to do in this body was flirt. Of course flirting wasn't a very natural thing for her to do even in her own body. Now it was even worse. She was currently a straight woman, in a man's body, trying to pick up other straight women. Why was she doing it? For science...or some shit like that. It's not like she was actually going to go on a date, if she could get one. She just wanted to see how other women reacted to men.

"Good morning. I love your earrings by the way, is that tanzanite?"

She blushed and tucked her hair behind her ear, "Yes, it is. Thank you. It's my birthstone."

"Oh really? Mine too. Tell me, did your family always combine Christmas and your Birthday?"

"Oh my god, Yes! The 23rd. Just once my own day would be nice, you know?" She said, seeming genuinely happy to talk now.

"Boxing Day Baby. Everyone was too tired from Christmas to celebrate again. Anyway, I'm sorry, I'm sure you don't want to talk to me all day. I'll have a flat white and a bagel with cream cheese please."

"Oh I don't mind," She said, touching her hair unconsciously, "It'll be $9.50. You can have a seat and I'll bring it to you when it's ready."

Piper paid, and tipped, she didn't want people thinking Percy was stingy. Then she sat down to wait. A few minutes later the barista brought her the drink and the bagel. "Thank you." Piper said taking them.

The barista hesitated for a second, she looked nervous. Then suddenly she put a sticky note down on the table, "Um...here's my number. You know...if you ever wanted to complain about our birthdays."

Piper was shocked. She had been just trying to have some fun, but had she actually gotten this girl's number. Ok Piper, don't freak out. Don't make Percy look like an asshole. She picked up the sticky note and smiled, "Oh I'd love to do that. I'll give you a call for sure. I'm Percy by the way."

She blushed, "Great! Looking forward to it." Then she turned to head back but stopped and turned, "Oh. Amber. I'm Amber, it was nice to meet you." Then she hurried back to the cash to serve another customer.

Piper put the number in her pocket and ate her bagel in silence. What did she do now? She could give Percy Amber's number. Except Percy would have a full head of hair and be completely unable to talk about having a December birthday. That part had been true for Piper. If she never called Amber, she might spread rumors about Percy the jerk. Piper didn't want that. She also had no interest in actually dating a women, regardless of the body she used to do it. Although...for science? No, that's ridiculous. Piper wasn't going to call Amber using Percy's body. That would be crazy.

Piper spent the rest of the morning shopping downtown. She found people gave her a lot more room on the sidewalk. Some shops gave her more attention, and others gave her less. All in all she was having a great time being someone else for the day though, and she slowly checked off all the stores she'd wanted to try.

Then she saw a girl and was struck by a thought, I wonder what it would be like to be her? She had neon pink hair with blue streaks. She had a full sleeve tattoo on one side, and dozens of other tattoos visible around her body. She had a septum piercing and several piercings in her ears. She was radically different from Piper and she could tell some people were reacting to her appearance strongly. Piper had brought the camera along after all...before she realized she had done it, the camera was in her hand. The tattooed woman wasn't looking...SNAP. Piper quickly hid the photo in her back and kept moving.

She'd had fun downtown, but she did have class today. It was just a lecture on art history, so there was no reason she had to be in her own body. She went as Percy. She figured she'd just sit down and take notes and not be bothered by anyone. Instead something very surprising happened. Piper was sitting down, taking out her notebook when...

"Hi!" Piper turned and saw Miranda sitting down in the seat beside her, "I'm Miranda. I haven't seen you here before."

"Oh, hi. I'm Percy."

"Nice to meet you Percy. Are you in this class, or just auditing?"

What's up with her? Why is she talking to me, Piper wondered. "My friend isn't feeling well, so I'm taking notes for her."

Miranda touched Piper's arm, "Oh, that's so nice of you." Did she somehow figure out about the camera? No, that wasn't possible...wait...was Miranda flirting? Piper chuckled nervously.

"Yep. That's me." She replied finally.

"So who's your friend?" Miranda asked, finally moving her hand from Piper's arm and getting her own notebook out.

"Piper Monroe. Do you know her?" Piper figured Miranda had no idea who she was.

"Piper, yes of course I do. She's amazing." Miranda said quickly, she actually sounded genuine.

"Oh, you're friends with her too then?" Piper asked, knowing the answer.

Miranda shook her head, "No. I don't think I've ever spoken to her. I don't mean to insult your friend but I've always gotten a don't talk to me vibe from her. She's super intense, but also like crazy talented. She brought a piece for this mini gallery we had and even though it didn't seem like her usual work at all, it was amazing. If I stray from my comfort zone even a little I turn out garbage, but Piper could probably do anything."

Piper was astonished. This didn't seem fake. Not at all. Was Miranda...actually nice?

"Wow, well she's a little intense sometimes...I'll give you that. But...she'd probably love to hear that in person. All artists crave recognition whether they admit it or not."

Miranda smiled, "Oh ya. That's true. It's funny, I had a ton of people checking out my painting, but I really wasn't happy with how it turned out. All that praise actually made me a little uncomfortable, cause like, do they really like it, or was the mostly male audience trying to get in my pants?"

Maybe if she didn't dress so...no, Piper pushed that thought away. Maybe she'd judged Miranda too harshly. If she wanted to wear comfortable clothes, she should be allowed to. Oh, and Piper had copied her body and flashed Percy...she felt a little guilty about that all of a sudden. She looked at Miranda, come on, do something despicable so I can hate you again!

"Oh, sorry Percy. The lecture's starting. You're in for a treat, Dr. Hendricks is one of the best lectures at this University. Trust me." She looked away from Piper and focused on the professor walking up to the lectern. For the rest of the lecture Miranda was totally into it. When it was done she said packed up her books, "Bye Percy. It was nice to meet you. Thanks for your advice, I think I'll try talking to Piper next time I see her. Maybe she can give me some pointers."

Piper couldn't believe it. It was a whole lot less fun as a prank if Miranda was a good person. She probably shouldn't take her photo again...right? Then she thought of the photo she'd taken of the stranger with tattoos. She could be a good person too, couldn't she? Should she stop using the camera altogether?

...

...

...

No way. It was too much fun. She would have to be somewhat careful though. It might be fun to tease Percy, but it wouldn't be cool to mess up Miranda's, or anything else's, life. She looked down at herself, maybe this was long enough being Percy. She kind of missed her own body. She grabbed her bags and headed off for home.
