The Civil War Journals: Debbie
Dearest Diary,
I've grown suspicious of Cousin Debbie. She's smiling too much. Her head is in the cloud too much. She doesn't even talk about the war or what's happening anymore. She's just ... happy. I finally followed her one day in the morning. She took a right at the creek, a left across it at that little stone bridge Daddy built ten years ago. Then another right for a hundred yards, and then left till she hit the cave.
I wondered how long it had been that she had known about the cave; I had barely discovered it myself. I hit behind a tree, waiting, for what felt like forever. And then he came along. Samson. He went into the cave, looking both ways before he went, and soon there were the kinds of cries and moans I'd never heard before emanating it from it. And then I understood. But Diary, I have no idea what to about my cousin's licentious behavior.
Conflicted,
Cassandra Castle
