I am a human

Some how despite all that has happened you can’t forget earth. Deep in your heart you consider yourself a human. This decision was in no way a condemnation of your lovers or the demonic people you planned to protect. Instead you knew on some level that to be the beacon that united the people, you could not finish the transformation that had started to take place in your body.

The relics, reacting to your desire, changed again. It was most clear with the sword as it was held in front of you, but you were sure the same thing had happened to the other two. The color of the metal was bisected, half black and half gold. The aura shifted from absorbing light like a miasma and shining bright with holy light. Instinctively you knew that the magic inside you had also balanced out even though no change came over your form. Human, demon and celestial magic in perfect harmony.

Seeing this the Demon Queen’s eyes blazed with anger. Fornax stood then lobbing a massive ball of darkness which dispersed harmlessly on your shield. With renewed confidence you and your allies charged into battle.

To say the fight was an easy win would not be truthful but it certainly wasn't the life or **** struggle you expected.

Although none of the Queen’s abilities could hurt you, she proved to be an unrivaled foe. Stronger then Cetus, a better caster than Cygnus, and capable of healing herself faster than Cassiopeia could heal your allies. The only advantage you had was that your new form seemed impervious to all her attacks.

In truth neither you nor your foe were in any danger. Finally seeing this, your allies backed away leaving you in a stalemate.

“Why?” Fornax hissed.

For only a moment you thought the question was to you, but Cassiopeia answered. “Because your **** will save all of our people.”

“Do you truly believe that… all three of you?”

You refused to take your eyes off the queen, but you knew they had wordlessly answered by the pain you saw written on Fornax’s face. “I did this for our people… for all of you…”

“We know… but it is time to stop… our people are tired of fighting... it is time for peace.”

Like a puppet with it’s strings cut the Demon Queen fell to her knees. “If it will save my people… then go ahead… take my life Hero.”
