"This is your project for the semester," the professor intoned solemnly. "You're going to study this multinational oil and gas interest. You're going to go through the business data that we've provided. Your goal is to identify strategies to successfully develop an offshoot American brand in our own backyard."

Harper and Amy stared at the professor, trying to hold back their rising panic. They'd just taken calculus last year! Multi-national? The fuck?

"You'll be teamed up. One Westerner. One from the Middle East or Africa."

There were four males in the 'pod' with Harper, Amy, and two of Cindy's trainees. Because they were Elizabeth's girls, they got the first crack.

There was Wahid Al-Assaf, an Arabic scion of the Al-Assaf clan. There was Hashim, a Sudanese migrant who was the darkest man Amy had ever laid eyes on. There was Abbas, a Palestinian from a particularly wartorn region. And there was Hassan, from Niger, a thick and powerful African.
