Eva's search for Kaiser

Eva moved around the event, scanning among the crowd for her target. While she didn't find the man himself, after some careful listening in on surrounding conversations she did manage to spot his agent, a Mr. Donovan. It was very likely he knew Kaiser's whereabouts, and thus she decided to get that information out of him.

He was talking to another guest, and she found an opportunity to join the conversation.

"Mr. Donovan! Such a pleasure to see you!", she smiled.

His reaction was one of surprise, yet he didn't seem displeased when he looked her up and down. "The pleasure is all mine. I don't believe we've met, Miss...?", he asked, taking her hand and kissing it lightly.

"Kelly. Mona Kelly. I represent Vision Entertainment, and we're a new music label looking to disrupt the traditional music market.", she replied, flashing her best approachable smile.

"How fascinating! Well, Ms. Kelly, I will let you know that I was the star of my acapella group in college. I'm flattered that you've seen the potential in me that my peers clearly missed.", he chuckled.

She giggled at his joke as if it was the funniest thing she had heard. "I'll have to look at some of your recordings. By the way, you can call me Mona.", she smiled at him, twirling her hair with one hand.

"Mona it is, then. How can I help you?"

"I'm here to talk about one of your clients - M.C. Kaiser. My CEO wants to sign him. With our AI-powered production studio and our expertise in social media marketing, we believe his return album will be a chart topper in today's music landscape.", she effortlessly rattled off a sales pitch. She hoped that the buzzwords she threw in made her seem like an authority in the world of record labels and music production.

"Very impressive. Well, if you can give me your business card, I'll make sure Mr. Kaiser hears about your company. We can certainly schedule a call if he is interested.", he replied.

Eva cursed internally. That wouldn't be of any use to her. She decided to change tack and be more forceful.

"Ah, but that won't do.", she said, acting crestfallen. "I was hoping to meet him in person so I can explain what we do in more detail. Is he not at the event?"

"He's in the hotel, but my client is a busy man with several business obligations. I'm afraid his schedule is full.", replied Donovan. That statement struck a note in Eva's head. It was highly likely one of those meetings was the one where Kaiser would sell the chip.

She had to get to Kaiser, and fast. She decided to play her cards more aggressively.

"Can you please reconsider? Surely, there must be some time on his schedule. I'll consider it a personal favor.", she replied. With her hand not holding the glass, she parted the slit in dress so he could see her bare leg.

"Well, I'll need to check with him. Maybe he can spare a few minutes, if the pitch is good...", he replied, unable to take his eyes off what she was showing him.

To further emphasize her point, she stepped up to him and leaned in, giving him a generous look at her cleavage. "I'll do anything if you can make this happen.", she whispered to him.

His eyes widened, and she noticed he was practically salivating.

"Follow me.", he replied, his hands practically shaking. "Let's take the elevator."
