Bullseye!

We had barely dodged the rubble thrown at us when incredibly sharp playing cards were thrown at us! Mammoth couldn't really dodge but Jinx was able to destroy them as they flew at him thankfully. Private and Kyd teleported to try and get the drop on this crazy smiling guy with target's all over his suit, meanwhile Mammoth found himself actually being pushed back in a physical contest against Kingpin! In this situation the best focus was to deal with the guy throwing playing cards, the guy had a lot of them sure but he suddenly started throwing more dangerous stuff once I began shooting at him. His throwing knives nearly slamming into one of my eyes as I just barely dodged in time, Kyd caught one in the shoulder due to being too close to the boss and Private ended up using his shield to deflect and block most things thrown at him.

Mammoth was currently having a HEAVY WEIGHT SLUGFEST with Kingpin, and he wasn't winning... He was getting hit HARD and thrown around like I don't think he ever has been before... Jinx had to switch focus on blasting Kingpin in the back just so Mammoth could hit him back. Mammoth clearly wasn't used to fighting people that could take a beating from someone with his level of strength, against this Kingpin guy just pure brute strength wasn't enough. Kingpin was a bit taller, almost as strong, but it seems that he was trained and used to fighting people that could take hits from him and strike back. This wasn't gonna work if we kept playing shootout with Bullseye while Mammoth was starting to get bruised and beaten back like this...

I put away my gun, leaving Bullseye to Kyd and Private as I headed to help Mammoth. I wasn't strong enough to hit as hard as the big guy, but I did have a weapon that should help make a difference. Kingpin noticed me as I swung my weapons at him, a pair of lightweight hybrid metal Axes I'd made to be throwable. He still got a few new cuts thanks to them but with his focus now having to shift, Mammoth and I were able to start overwhelming him. Jinx was still destroying or making the weapons Bullseye threw at us miss, but now that we were able to start hitting Kingpin up close and split his focus, she was free to start firing back at Bullseye. Between Jinx, Kyd and Private though? Bullseye was getting swarmed pretty quick honestly, he couldn't throw fast enough and Kyd had started catching his weapons in his cloak. It took another 5 minutes for Bullseye to go down, but with him beaten we were able to finish Kingpin off and finally advance to the next section of floors.

From floor 61 onwards we found ourselves being swarmed by quite numerous Elite enemies, mini bosses basically. We got through those floors to 70 with some difficulty, either the number of enemies was going up or the quality of them was being raised higher. At floor 70 though we encountered a new boss fight, where we needed to find the boss while beating back the mobs that came at us. This boss was apparently good at hiding and manipulating the forces we had to fight. When we found him it was also AFTER we'd learned that the longer we took the greater the number of enemies that he would be able to send at us... We were NOT prepared for 10 elites and 40 normal enemies turning into a grand total of 350 ENEMIES! It took us just over 10 minutes total, 6 of which was spent FINDING the boss. A Russian accent asshole by the name of the Chameleon, bastard kept trying to run and hide amongst the growing HORDE of enemies.

Anyways moving on past that we reached the next rest point on floor 75, we ended up getting some sleep there, especially once we realized that it was entirely SAFE to do so and we wouldn't face any penalties for doing so. With some REAL rest we were finally able to continue on feeling far more refreshed. Our next boss fight on floor 80? Some HUGE Robots lead by a guy in power armor called Allistaire Smythe. The Robots were called Spider Slayer's apparently, marks XV, XVI and XVII to be exact. The first looked like a Black Widow Spider, the second modeled after a Tarantula, with the final of the three being a Scorpion by the looks of it. Mammoth, Private and I tried to stay in front, Private blocking attacks while Mammoth held back the massive metal legs trying to stab or swipe at us. Me? I swung my axes and found that they were able to SHRED and CRUMPLE the metal of these bots, so I started to target their legs, trying to take out their ability move, I was only able to really slow them down as one of them had a fucking ENGINE so it could fly! WHAT THE FUCK?! WHY IS THE SCORPION ONE FLYING?!

Smythe tried to get around us, to attack Jinx and Kyd. The two worked together quite well in avoiding his attacks, but without them we had no ranged support, so the bots started to fire on us as well. That's when I did something that I didn't realize was an option before now, I dove away from the bots and went for Smythe, warning Mammoth and Private Hive to hold on. Jinx and Kyd grabbed hold of Smythe trying to hold him in place as he laughed at them, he didn't notice me coming until I was mid leap. The mouth of my mask just...
