Welcome to the TOWER!

That was the final message of the system to us. It was a new training method, the system referred to it as the most brutal but most rewarding training setting available. The Tower is apparently over 100 floors of enemy combatants, traps, monsters, demons, creatures, all of which get stronger the higher up you reach. Things started off easy though others were surprised when I moved in and immediately shot several Hydra agents. "Whoa! Uh you sure those are targets?" Mamoth asked moments within the first floor enemies were dropped. "Getting as much done as possible is the point right? So why hold back?" I responded.

We saw a screen pop up explaining how there were numerous items spread through out the tower that could be stolen for bonus rewards. There were other bonus objectives as well, things that involved dealing with elite enemies which this early in the tower were still nothing more than cannon fodder. By the time we reached the 10th floor we encountered not only items that Kyd was able to steal, but we began to come under attack by larger amounts of Hydra Soldiers. They were starting to try and attack us using riot shields, Mammoth and Jinx were able to deal with those easily, Private HIVE had a little trouble, but I continued to shoot as many targets dead as I could. We kept moving up along the floors, for hours. Eventually we had to stop for a break, thankfully we found what was a floor for resting, apparently there was one every 25 floors. By the time we'd stopped to rest we were right before floor 50 in the rest area. Jinx asked why I was trying to get stronger like this. What I was preparing for. I explained to her that I was aware of a horrible event coming, that I had to get stronger for it in order to stop it. She looked at me like I was a bit crazy but other than that she took the chance to relax while she could.

We went on to floor 50, where another screen popped up, saying that we would now be fighting bosses every so often. It also explained that the floors from here on out would become larger, possibly even maze like and if we weren't careful we would get lost. "Oh joy... what fun news..." I reacted to the message. The others sounding a bit more tired as this was getting quite tiring. We ended up going into the boss fight, getting attacked by numerous robots charging us. The fight started out pretty harsh, the number of them rushing us only increased further, despite Mammoth and Jinx tearing them apart, Private and Kyd working together to send enemies into each others attacks. As for me, I relied on using my shotgun to blast them into pieces. Turns out a modified SPAS with increased ammo capacity can turn bots into scrap metal REAL fast! Then the boss revealed itself, someone called The Tinkerer. The number of bots attacking us increased MASSIVELY, dozens of them running out from the rooms further in on this floor, humanoid bodies leaping at us, trying to beat us down and overwhelm us with numbers. Mammoth's strength allowed him to block most of them that got too close, pushing them back while Kyd opened portals only to close them around the bots, splitting them apart at numerous angles. Meanwhile Jinx was blasting them with her energy but not having much success in stopping them, Private however was able to use his shield to bash, smash and even throw it into several of them at once before recalling it.

That floor took us a good half hour to get through, Tinkerer wasn't really tough on his own, the problem was the overwhelming number of robots he threw at us to stop us from reaching him. But with him finally beaten we were able to steal whatever items were on the floor and proceed to the next area. I ended up having to put away most of my guns, my pistols were essentially out of ammo by now, my shotgun was low and there hadn't been a reason to pull out my sniper even once. The next boss fight was on floor 60, before we went in there was not a rest point but a spot where we could eat and rearm ourselves if we needed ammo or anything of the like. So we of course took advantage of that before heading through the doors to start then next Boss Fight. Two names appeared at the top of our views, as a giant of a man stood up from behind a desk, slamming his powerful arms into it as he broke the desk in half and threw the chunks at us!
