And why shouldn't you? AI has taken away the need to work. All production is now so cheap and efficient that you can easily afford anything material you want with the dividends from your human birthright share of one stock in each of the four remaining companies: Xchange the pharmaceutical company, X-ai the super-intelligent AI cluster, SpaceX the space mining corporation, and GovX the government-as-a-service company.

Humans only really have one purpose left: to seek their own gratification. Some find it in companionship. Some in making worse art than AI can produce, for self-expression. Some take to the stars, apparently under the belief that being near exotic solar system configurations will fill their void of purpose. You think of yourself as more honest than them all.

When Xchange came out with the wedding band gimmick, you weren't fooled. You knew what the coating's true purpose was.
