Waste away the day

The three of you spend the rest of the day together, eventually Amber returns from checking out the fighting club and seems really excited about it.

When it comes time for dinner Trilia insists on stopping in the bathrooms just outside of the barrier to experiment with some minor transfiguration. You run her and Alicia through a half dozen increasingly silly hair colors. Trilia laughs infectiously with each change and you end up having a lot more fun than you expected. It felt really good to have friends that you could make happy and their uncomplicated enjoyment of powers you were so conflicted over was helping you to come to terms with them. You'd never really had friends like this before, just brothers who were your superiors in every task.

Amber isn't interested in being changed. It was odd to you that she seemed comfortable with combat magic but didn't like the idea of magic being used on her. The girls didn't know your own secret yet and you thought maybe she had one too.

In the end Alicia goes to dinner with her blonde hair turned a rich brown and Trilia is sporting a blonde pixie cut. It doesn't seem too peculiar to either of them that they really just effectively switched hair colors. The whole process has built up a real appetite in you. Dinner is mostly uneventful, a few of the other first years that the other Trilia and Alecia had met asked about the hair change and word of your specialty was starting to spread.

The four of you spend the rest of the evening hanging out in the dorm common room. You lose several more times at the board game until Mrs. Gray informs you all that it is time for bed. You drift off to a contented sleep, ready for the next day.
