Dearest Diary,

Daddy's newest purchase arrived today. It felt like all the womanfolk watched him arrive. He was bound tight and shirtless. His back was covered in fresh marks, and old scars underneath it. Daddy said he is 'impertinent.'

I shouldn't say this, Diary, but that man is a specimen. His body is layered in muscle. His tattered pants were bulging out in front. Winthrop Jr. said that is going to be Daddy's 'moneymaker' right there. I was shocked, but Debbie was right next to me, and her lips were parted like she was in a daze. And that night, when we were all supposed to be asleep, she was doing something to herself, and talking to herself.
