Chapter 175

“I will be in my workshop if you need me.” Inanna plainly states, stepping away from the two lovers with a slight smile on her face.
Hanging Out with Thea
“Do we really need to keep doing this...?”
Krvavy raises an eyebrow and glances down at the bratty girl sitting in her lap, staring into Thea’s upside-down face. “Wasn’t this your idea? Spending some personal time together, I mean.” She asks, letting her lips curl into a slightly teasing smile.
“Yes, but I would prefer to do something more exciting than this.” The silver-blonde noble girl sighs out, before suddenly narrowing her eyes as a faint flush tints her cheeks. “And, no, I do not mean sex, you degenerate of a Dragon!”
“Hey, what makes you think that I was going to suggest such a perverted thing?” Krvavy’s eyes twinkle playfully as she meets her fiancée’s soft-blue eyes. “Don’t answer that.”
Thea simply rolls those beautiful eyes of hers. “Do you even still need my help in learning how to read?” She asks in an almost scornful tone, turning her gaze back down to the thick book in her hands. “You are hardly having any problems at all, and if you do have a question you just end up answering it yourself by speaking it out loud.”
“Well, Not So Cunning Linguist is weird like that.” The barbarian lightly shrugs her shoulders. “I don’t always know what I’m reading until I hear my own voice say it.”
“Exactly. You already know how the letters are all pronounced, so you are fully capable of handling it all on your own.”
Krvavy frowns a little as she gives her little princess a gentle squeeze. “You sound like you could use a break.”
“That sounds like a veiled insult...” Thea quietly huffs out, pushing at Krvavy’s arms as she escapes the Drakling’s embrace. “Oh, shut up.” She rolls her eyes before Krvavy can say anything. “I know that you are not actually insulting me.”
Krvavy closes the fighting manual and moves it aside. “You didn’t need to leave my lap.”
“Stop pouting.” The silver-blonde brat removes her reading glasses and rolls her eyes as she sits down on the soft moss bedding. She reaches out and places those enchanted glasses of hers atop the book, before patting down her sundress to keep herself looking presentable. “We both know what would happen if I stayed there. You are bad enough when you have something that you are supposed to be focused on...”
“Alright.” Krvavy shrugs her shoulders, still feeling a little disappointed that she isn’t cuddling her beautiful fiancée. “What do you want to do then? Finally going to explain that new cleaning spell of yours?”
“N-no! And do not even think about using Inspect on me!”
“Come one, it can’t be that embarrassing.” The Drakling leans forwards, resting her chin on her hand as a teasing smile spreads across her face. “I already know that using it makes you horny and needy~. Surely there can’t be anything else to it, right~?”
“Ugh, no!” Thea’s faint flush deepens into a deep shade of red as she glares back at the barbarian. “But that does not mean that you can just violate my privacy all willy-nilly!”
“Willy-nilly~?”
“Sh-shut up!” The noble girl stutters slightly, crossing her arms as she tries to hide her embarrassment under exaggerated anger.
“Thea, Thea, Thea...” Krvavy repeats her fiancée’s name as she slowly shakes her head, unable to keep a wide smile off of her face. “You are constantly reminding me why I, in a moment of weakness, asked you to marry me~.”
“Wh-what is that supposed to mean!?” The beautiful brat’s blush grows even more intense, spreading down to her bare shoulders.
“It means that I love you~! I~! Love~! You–mmhn!”
“Sh-shut up! Shut up!” Thea forcibly spits out between heavy breaths, pressing both of her hands down over the Drakling’s mouth. “Shu–aAH!” A surprise shout escapes past her pouty lips as she suddenly pulls back, glaring at the tapered tongue that had just licked across her palms.
“You are just so easy to tease~!” Krvavy smiles warmly at her annoyed and flustered fiancée. “Though is it really teasing if I’m telling the truth~?”
“Krvavy!” The noble girl whines out, pursing her lips in an adorable attempt at looking angry.
“Okay, okay, I’ll stop...” The barbarian exaggeratedly sighs out. “But are you sure that you don’t want to cuddle?”
“Ugh, you are hopeless!” Thea groans in exasperation, doing her best to quickly regain her composure.
“Yup, hopelessly in lo– right. Sorry, I said I’d stop...”
“Hhnnn...” The silver-blonde brat makes an odd groaning sound as she pinches the bridge of her nose and slowly sighs out.
“Is there a problem?” Krvavy genuinely asks, feeling ever so slightly remorseful for all her teasing.
“Yes. You.” Thea rolls her eyes, as if the answer was obvious. “How can you just act like nothing has changed? Hmph!” She huffs out in annoyed frustration as she sees the Drakling questioningly raise a single eyebrow. “Adeline! I am talking what happened with Adeline!”
“Oh. Well... what about her?”
Thea narrows her eyes and simply glares at the barbarian for a few long seconds. “Are you being dense on purpose? She is now, ugh, one of ‘your girls’!”
“Yes...?” Krvavy slowly replies, honestly not quite sure what her brat is trying to say.
“Ugh, seriously? Did you cum out your brains yesterday?”
“No need to be rude.” Krvavy gently sighs. “Our relationship hasn’t changed, and isn’t going to change, just because Adeline is now a part of it. And it isn’t like we just added her into our lives either: she’s been around for a while already.”
The silver-blonde noble girl firmly presses her lips together as she intensely stares into the Drakling’s emerald eyes. “I am not talking about that.”
“Then what are you talking about?” The barbarian lets a bit of exasperation into her voice as she meets her brat’s gaze. “Stop beating around the bush and just say it already.”
“That little rabbit is completely lovestruck. The clingy thing is utterly infatuated. She is absolutely smitten with you.” Thea rolls her eyes as she speaks in a fairly annoyed tone. “How many ways do I need to put it?”
“Okay, maybe I did cum my brains out yesterday,” Krvavy sarcastically admits, “because I don’t see your point. You are also lovestruck, infatuated, and smitten with me. Even if you try to pretend otherwise. So what’s the problem?”
A faint blush fills the bratty girl’s cheeks even as she purses her lips. “I did not ‘fall for you’ in the span of a single day.”
“I’m pretty sure she had some ‘feelings’ before yesterday, unless that was just her heat...” Krvavy gently shakes her head. “But I kind of get what you’re saying now.”
“Kind of?”
“Come on, enough with the sass.” The barbarian reaches out and tries to pat her brat on the head, only to get her hand swatted away. “You are worrying about Adeline. That she has thrown herself into a complicated and very far from normal relationship while feeling intense emotions that she almost certainly isn’t used to.”
“W-what?! I am not worried about that rat’s feelings!” The bratty girl quickly spits out, her blush growing more intense despite her words.
“Honestly, it’s really sweet of you to care about her like that.”
“I do not care about her feelings!”
“She’s definitely out of her depth here, what with how different our relationship is to what she would be used to seeing around when she was growing up. And that can be pretty intimidating, especially since she is already so timid and shy. So it–”
“Sh-shut up!” Thea loudly shouts out, overpowering the grinning Drakling’s playfully rambled words. “I do not care one bit about the Halfling’s feelings! You can break her heart for all I care!”
“Sure, sure, I definitely believe you.”
“I am serious!” The silver-blonde brat huffs out, crossing her arms in an adorable pout. “I am not worried about her, I am worried about you!”
“Oh? Is that so?” Krvavy leans back and casually stretches her arms, holding her hands behind her head. A teasing smile graces her face as she sees through her fiancée’s flimsy excuse. “Well then, go on. Explain just what you are worried about.”
“You fall in love far too easily.” The noble girl scowls as the barbarian seems completely unbothered by that fact being pointed out. “All it would take for you to fall hopelessly in love with a woman is for her to give you a friendly smile!”
“Nah, I’ve got to disagree with you on that one.” Krvavy flippantly replies, casually rolling her shoulder as she continues to idly stretch. “I can easily fall for an unfriendly smile, like a sneer. Or even a scowl. Case in point: you.”
“Ugh!” Genuine frustration and growing anger fills the brat’s exasperated groan. “Just shut up for a minute and listen to me, you damned degenerate!”
The Drakling slowly lowers her arms back down and, without saying a word, gestures for her frustrated fiancée to continue.
“Hmph! You can not just go around collecting every woman that you come across!” Thea forcefully states, narrowing her eyes as her pout grows far more stern. “They need to be worthy of your love! They need to have some value to you besides their appearance! They can not just be random women off of the street!”
“Are you saying that Adeline isn’t worthy of being in our relationship?” Krvavy can’t help but break her admittedly short lived silence to ask that question in an icy tone.
“Yes and no.” Thea huffs back, sounding a bit more calm even though her voice is still quite firm. “That rabbit just barely has a value, and only because she now has a part of your soul. The fact that she is better at cooking food than any of the rest of us is not enough on its own to justify her being one of your girls. Those who you fully claim as your own and who you give yourself to should be more than mere servants. You deserve better than that.”
The barbarian opens her mouth to respond, but is stopped before she can get a single sound out.
“And,” the noble girl holds up a single hand, “if you do not want to choose better women for yourself, then at least do it for their sake. You are the Champion of a God. You will, no doubt, one day have enemies who would not hesitate to harm those you love just to hurt you. So do you want your girls to be capable of nothing more than cowering behind you? Or do you want them to, in one way or another, stand by your side? I am not sure if you will ever find someone who could be truly equal to you and still willing to become yours, but that does not mean that all of your girls should be utterly helpless. We should at least be capable of defending ourselves.”
Krvavy furrows her brow as she sits there in silence, letting the seconds drag into minutes as she is left completely without words.
“Not going to argue with me?” Thea sneers ever so slightly as her voice takes on a mildly derisive tone. “Are you not going to point how I can hardly defend myself and how hypocritical it is of me to make this sort of demand? Well? Do you have anything to say?”
“I... I honestly didn’t expect this conversation to get so... serious.” Krvavy idly replies, before gently shaking her head. “But, uh, I don’t really choose who I love, you know.”
“Hmph, so you say.” The noble girl huffs out, not looking particularly convinced. “That claim is hard to believe when you fall for every single woman that you interact with.”
“I’ll have you know that I interacted with quite a lot of women in Raseyne, and –”
“The Countess.” Thea dryly cuts the barbarian off.
“Oh come on, Rina shouldn’t count. She came onto me.” Krvavy frowns slightly as she realizes how defensive her response sounds. “Look, I know that it looks like I fall in love with every woman I see, but that’s only because I... well, I barely interact with other people at all. I’ve just been incredibly lucky with the chance encounters that let me to meeting all of you.”
“That is hardly an excuse.” The bratty girl leans forward, narrowing her eyes as her glare intensifies. “In fact, it just makes it worse. If you are so anti-social, then you should have even more reason to be careful about who you make such deep connections with.”
“Look...” Krvavy brings a hand up to her face, slowly massaging her brow with a finger and thumb. The fact that she also ends up covering her eyes is just a bonus, as she doesn’t want to even be tempted to look down the front of Thea’s sundress where she knows the girl’s naked tits would be visible. Now is really not the time for that. “It’s just... Thinking about ‘choosing’ girls just because of their ‘value’ makes me feel like... It just doesn’t feel right.”
“And –?”
“That said...” Krvavy almost immediately cuts her fiancée off, lowering her hand down so that she can look Thea in the eyes. “You do have a point. Oh don’t look so surprised. Or smug. This isn’t the first time that we’ve talked about this sort of thing...”
“But hopefully it is the last.” Thea huffs and leans back, trying to still look stern even as a victorious expression fills her adorably arrogant face.
“Hopefully.” The Drakling agrees, letting her lips curl into a slightly wry smile. “I’m not exactly a fan of being lectured. Especially when it’s about the same thing over and over again.”
“You would not have to hear all those lectures if you let the lesson through your thick skull the first time.”
“And miss out on getting to listen to your beautiful voice? Nah, I’ll stay dense if that’s alright with you.” Krvavy’s smile widens as her cheeky response causes her brat to glare at her. “Your threats are completely useless on me. But do you know what might work? A reward. Like, say, a kiss. I’m sure that would be enough to make me take a lesson to heart~.”
“You are absolutely incorrigible!”
“Am I? Maybe I just need a reminder of the love that I have right now~?” Krvavy’s emerald eyes twinkle playfully as she teasingly challenges her little princess. “A lovely kiss would definitely refresh my memory and really hammer home what a special and amazing relationship I’ve somehow stumbled my way into~. Especially after all of that serious talk clouded up my simple barbarian brain~.”
“Ugh, fine!” Thea’s exasperated act is utterly undermined by the blush that is already starting to fill her cheeks.
Krvavy tries to not look too smug as she remains sitting in place, letting her beautiful brat come to her.
The silver-blonde noble girl quickly crosses the short distance to the Drakling, her knees pressing into the soft moss bedding as she rises up to meet her fiancée face-to-face. Her right hand grabs onto Krvavy’s upper-left horn, holding it firmly as she slowly moves in for the kiss.
“I really do love you, Thea~.” The barbarian quietly breathes out, causing her blushing brat to freeze.
“I... I love you too, Krvavy~.” Thea whispers back, looking a little embarrassed at being **** into admitting that. “Now shut up already...”
As much as Krvavy would love to playfully respond, she doesn’t get the chance to say a single thing before her fiancée’s lips are pressing against her own.
“Mhhhmn~...!” A happy and content noise, one that almost sounds like a moan, emerges from deep within Thea’s body, drawn out by the arms gently wrapping around her waist.
Their kiss remains rather chaste despite the passionate love that they can both feel through the embrace. The usual lustful hunger isn’t exactly missing, but it is completely buried beneath the current romantic mood.
One of Krvavy’s hands trails up the smooth fabric of Thea’s sundress, lovingly rubbing the bratty girl’s back. At the same time, both of Thea’s hands slowly slide down the Drakling’s horns and into crimson coloured hair, fingers finding purchase among the shoulder-length strands.
The beautiful noble girl’s tongue presses past the barbarian’s lips, seeking a tender dance.
Love surges through Krvavy’s heart as she returns her fiancée’s affection. The usual urge to let loose and use her inhumanly long tongue to utterly dominate the girl that she loves so much is still present, of course, but it hardly even tempts her.
“Mhhhhmnh~...!” Thea melts into Krvavy’s embrace, just as the Drakling melts into her. In this moment, both the barbarian and the brat are as one, minds empty of all but their boundless love for each other.
“Are –? Oh. Apologies.”
Thea suddenly jumps and pulls back, wrenching herself free of the Drakling’s embrace. She quickly spins around, inadvertently whipping Krvavy in the face with her long silver-blonde hair, to glare heatedly at the intruder.
“I did not mean to interrupt.” Inanna calmly states, slowly glancing back and forth between the flushed faces of both barbarian and brat. “I had heard your voices on the way over here, but neither of you responded when I called out.”
“Ugh, you are not interrupting anything!” The flushed noble girl says that with just a bit too much **** to be believable. “We were... We were just taking a break! What do you want?”
“I brought a gift.” The apron-clad Dwarf faintly nods her head towards an object that she is holding steady by her side, one that has been completely covered by a loose sheet and is suspiciously large compared to her short height. “For you.”
“A gift? For me?” Thea repeats, sounding just as confused as she does skeptical.
“Yes.” The Dwarf plainly replies.
