He goes with Katie

“….and that’s why I think we should maybe give it a try”, Mark finished. Gabriella Borbon stared back at Mark blankly, him having used the frozen latina to practice asking Katie out.

“No, no. Stupid, stupid. That wont do at all. Do any of you have any better ideas?”

Marks question was directed at the other four dolls in his room. Standing against the wall naked was Rae Tucker, Emily Mackenzie, Isabella Chun, and Phoebe Paige.

Mark sighed in frustration. He needed help, but who could he ask. Ashley would make fun of him, his mom would think it was cute, and Regina was a no go. No, there was only one person he could ask.

He kisses his Gabriella doll on the lips, and briefly gropes Phoebe before heading out his bedroom, making sure to lock the door.

He then made his way downstairs to his father’s manager, where his father had been resting after a long shift. Surprisingly, he was awake when Mark entered the room.

“Hey Sport, what’s up?”

“Hey dad, can I uh…. Ask you about a man thing?”

“A man thing?”

“Well a girl thing.”

“Oh…I think I understand. Who’s the lucky lady you have your eye on, eh?”

“I uhhhh. Its Katie.”

Marks father’s eyes widened a bit. “Really? I take it your worried about ruining your friendship?”

“Yeah”, Mark admitted sheepishly. “That and I don’t know how to do this in the first place.”

“Well, you’ve come to the right person for the job. Here is what you have to do…”

“What’s up dude? You wanted to talk?” Katie asked as they met by the cafeteria doors.

Suddenly and without warning, everything stopped. Katie didn’t even notice Mark move at all as she caught up to him.

“You froze time for this?” she asked, an eyebrow going up inquisitively. “Is Stephen here too, or is it just us?”

“Just us”, Mark confirmed. “I don’t really want him here for the next part.”

“O.K whatever dude”, Katie said as she trend to walk into the cafeteria. Mark followed close behind her.

As they entered the lunchroom, both Mark and Katie couldn’t help but gawk at the sea of their frozen classmates. Although it’s a sight both have seen before, it never gets old.

“Katie, there’s something I wanted to tell you, to ask you.”

“What is it?” Katie asked as she absentmindedly felt up a frozen Marissa Fox. The leggy blonde simply wobbled in place as she held her lunch out in front of her.

“I wanted to say, I like you,” Mark began.

“I like you too”, Katie replied, moving on to feeling up Jason Stone, who had replaced Isabella as class president when she moved away.

“I mean, I really like you, like you” Mark said.

Katie stopped. “Mark, are you saying what I think your saying?”

“I love you Katie”, Mark blurted out. “Your cool, awesome, and pretty. Would you like to go on a date?”

“Finally”, was Katie’s only response.

“Finally?” Mark asked.

“Finally, I was wondering when you would ask. I think my feelings for you….they’ve changed since December. I have just been waiting for you to make your move.”

“Really?” Mark asked bewildered.

“Yes really. Especially for this”, Katie leaned in and kissed Mark on the lips. A real kiss at that, not just a friendly one. To Mark, it lasted forever, as he savored every moment of it he could.

As Katie pulled away , Mark wanted more. He needed more, and then leaned in and kissed her back. It lasted for several more seconds.

“So lover boy”, Katie said while cooing. “When’s are first date, not counting right now.”

“I was thinking dinner at a fancy restaurant . I’m sure I can get the money from somewhere.”

“Sounds good to me. But for now, let’s explore.”
