Damaskinos opened his eyes in the lab in the Palace of Nix, and felt the urge to cry. It had been so long, so so long since he heard Carnachias voice.

"I missed you, Carnachias."

"Extremely cringe, it must be a symptom of your lack of bitches."

His laughter echoed in the lab. He supposed a Goddess wouldn't change in a year, but he was happy to be right. He looked at her barely sane yellow eyes, the madness within barely contained in faint light as her built for fertility body swanned from place to place in her traditional easy access clothes. The lab was as he remembered, orderly cabinets, clean equipment and extremely messy work tables, it was like going home, and in a certain way it was. He had from a certain point of view been born here, made his choices here, althou it was weird to go back to a disembodied white light soul with a dark core hanging on his chest.

The door opened, and in gothic black and blue dress walked in his Goddess, the Mother of Darkness. He could feel, more than see, her happiness in seeing him again. She smiled faintly, her emotions muted, before her traditional mask of seriousness imposed itself again.

"You have arrived ahead of schedule, and that is praiseworthy. Much has changed in our plans but worry not, you are still a part of them."

The traditional banter of peace and quiet continued in the Palace of Nix, Damaskinos almost lulled to a happy sleep knowing all is well. Carnachias kept working around the lab, checking and re checking every little machine. Normally one would know most of their options ahead of time, unless they had stumbled upon an unprecedented potential, but his Devilish lineage was completely new, built from scratch by the 2 Sisters just before launching it into The System. Sure he looked like the run of the mill Imp, but red and without a tail, however no current Imp on the Dark Realms was as strong, capable of regrowing limbs without high tier Divine Spells or capable of enduring hours of intensive exercise without fainting from hunger. No dark core ever evolved at level cap 99 either.

"Alright, shits is blasting, Mundus is on speed dial and Nerd is here. Time to cook."

Melanoche quieted down and silently **** the power of darkness permeating the palace to power the machines on the lab, and Damaskinos felt his core turn white hot as the options were projected into the air akin to the status holographic screen.
