Oh yes he does, but he will have to fight for it.

After a few minutes of leisurely flight up enjoying the many views of his new world, the Imp spotted a small cave high on an outcrop of stone, which seemed like the perfect lair to occupy unperturbed. The hole in the grey rock of the mountains was too high for most animals to reach, and most Light Races would not give it a second glance. He started swiftly approaching it invisibly.

He carefully landed on its entrance when sudden movement spooked him into jumping backwards into the fall, a massive snake head biting just above his falling frame. He barely managed to regain control of his flight when it bit down towards him a second time, taking his left arm out and breaking his invisibility, yanking him down with the sheer weight of the movement.

Damaskinos started scrambling to fly away and put some distance between him and whatever this snake was, his mind screaming with the pain of his missing arm crushing all attempts to concentrate a spell into being. He swerved right as the snake once again tried to bite into his left flank, and beat his wings like a drum as he tried to escape to the safety of the air, always wary of new movements from the ground. Fortunately the snake stopped, content in staring at him with its malicious blue eyes as it savored the black Imp blood covering its lips.

The snake was enormous, covered in grey scales and not fully out of the hole yet, even if its body already touched the ground. Its blue gaze stared at him patiently, mockingly, the gaze of someone who had already won. A fatal mistake for the Ancient Stone Snake. Damaskinos sighed in relief as the snake observed him waiting for its poison to take effect, without knowing his elemental infusion made him immune to physical poisons.

"Regenerate"

He closed his eyes to keep focus as hot red pain spread all over his cut off arm, his natural greater regeneration boosted by spell growing his flesh anew. He felt imaginary cold sweat on his inexistant clothes and his breathing erratic. This had been too close. He took down one Adult Mountain Boar and already forgot he was still as weak as they come. His pain transformed into itching and he opened his eyes to look at his now wary grey snake, its eyes mid transition from disinterested patience into hostile malevolence seeing its prey regenerate in real time.

"Of course it is not even stupid."

Damaskinos smiled, and armed a cast of Stone Lance as he flew into spell range. The snake hissed in fury and lounged against the diminutive Imp, who dodged the expected strike by swinging left unleasing the powerful spell against the right cheek of the angry snake. The spell made the reptile swing right with the impact, a muffled sound escaping from its lips, but to Damaskinos disappointment it failed to penetrate the scales. He prepared an earth bulled and fired it just as the snake tried to turn left, distracting it for long enough for him to fly out of range.

This was going to be a long fight and he casted Life Elemental Infusion before starting work on a new strategy, the gaze of the snake turned outright hateful as it coiled in the ground. The Arcane Imp armed air bullet and swung down into the snake range watching as it sprung forward with its enormous mouth open. He felt shills as he barely managed to avoid the bite which would have taken him whole, and the fast bullet blew into the eye of the snake at point blank range, making it recoil as Damaskinos moved to grab the shaking head, raising his fist towards the sky.

"Dark Smite"

He connected his fist with the snake, which hissed loudly as Melanoche's Divine Power injured it before swinging Damaskinos high into the sky smacking him against the cliff, his wings ruined against the mountainside. Damaskinos took a moment to get up on his precarious hold, his back wet with his black blood, a savage smile on his face as he took stock of his opponents hanging left eye as it hissed around in pain and fury. He made an effort to ignore the pain on his back and carefully started arming his next spell, eyeing the snake who trashed towards him in unabated fury with its Mouth wide open.

"Fire Lance"

He burned the snake mouth and it recoiled in pain, its hissing becoming rough and painful as its throat had been burned, and Damaskinos prepared a second spell in a hurry, casting confusion on the injured and pain mad snake that started to trash about the surrounding trees while the Imp closed its eyes to resist losing concentration mid Regenerate. That confusion cast took the last of his mana, but not the last of his options. He took flight with his restored wings until he was above the discombobulated snake, his smile turned serene with a prayer and he concentrated all his divinity into his right hand.

"Dark Smite"

He dove down towards the earth like a falcon, his wings folded into himself as he tried to add as much physical damage to his next attack as possible. The snake was too busy with its pain to notice the rapidly approaching Imp until it was too late, and the last thing it felt was fist impact followed by a mass of Dark Energy expulsing it out its mortal coil. Damaskinos fist, and arm and shoulder collapsed absorbing the impact and the remains of the Snake were squatted against the ground. The Imp desperately opened its wings trying to control the fall before he took broke his legs on the landing.

Damaskinos collapsed laying flat with his destroyed body on the ground beneath the mid day sun, staring up into the sky, feeling a warm sensation spread through its body like a warm embrace. It was bone shattering pain, as well as the sweet taste of victory.
