Lexi, a fellow agent

Lexi's name and photo appeared on Eva's phone. She had joined the organization's ranks around the same time as her, and they had been paired up for a few missions. She picked up the call.

"Hey. Jim wants to do a briefing with the new equipment. I suppose you're in the pilot program too?", said Lexi.

"Yeah, I just got it. It's in his lab, I guess?", replied Eva.

"Yep. It's in 10 minutes, I'll see you there!", finished Lexi, ending the call.

Eva bit her lip. Her schedule for today was light, and she was hoping to find some time to sneak away from office and find something less conspicuous to wear. With this new development, that was no longer an option. Still, it could have been worse - at least this was a briefing about the suit that she was now wearing, so she prayed it wouldn't raise too many eyebrows.

She quickly put on the belt and left her office, briskly walking towards the meeting room. The office was starting to be full, and she walked past a few colleagues on her way to Jim's office. While they were all polite and professional, she could tell from their faces that the catsuit was...difficult to ignore. She could feel their gaze when she walked past - they were definitely checking out her figure. She decided the best course of action was to act normal.

She boarded an elevator and pressed the button for her destination floor. Right before the door closed, a man came running in inside. He was dressed in a button down shirt and cargo pants, and his graying hair could be best described as messy.

"Whew, barely made it.", he wheezed, out of breath. "Oh. Hey. You're Eva, right?"

Eva sighed internally. She was late for her meeting and would have liked to avoid small talk, but it seemed she wasn't going to be so lucky. "Yes. And you're...?"

"Jim.", the man replied, adjusting his messy hair. "I don't think we've met before. I'm the one who designed your suit."

"O-oh.", she replied, surprised. "Hi. I thought you would be in the lab."

"Me too.", he chuckled. "But I had to deploy some emergency tech to help one of our field agents. She's in a tricky situation, and it was all hands on deck to get her out." He sighed. "Anyway, I probably already said more than I should have. Let's go the lab together, shall we?"

The elevator came to a stop. "After you.", he said, smiling.
