Escape from the lab.

The second the **** brings you to the top of the tube, Rinlin leaps through the doorway out and into the room, and you follow behind. At that moment, you hear a thud. It isn't from someone else. It's from yourself. You look down to see your boots visible, as well as your legs. You hold up your hands to see them as well. The final bit of the elixir has run out. You're seen once more.

Rinlin looks to you with widened eyes. "Kyle, you--" She takes a moment to bring her gaze up and down your body. "You look stronger than the last time we spoke."

"Sorry we lost your weapons. Come back to Castle Phoenix with me and we'll get you some new ones."

She brings a hand back through her hair. She runs her fingers up her face, and back around her pigtails, as he lets out an incredibly long relieved sigh. "My heart is still racing. I nearly died." Then with serious composure, she places a hand upon her chest. "I owe you my life."

"You got us out of there. Let's call that even. Speaking of which, we better keep moving. That ALICE is probably gathering reinforcements, and I doubt they ogled Serafina that much longer after we left."

"Serafina... You seem to know much more than I do. Yes, I agree. Let's go. Through here."

After departing from the elevator room, you follow her through a few more tunnels. No longer are you in a subterranean laboratory. This appears more like some sort of ancient dungeon. It appears familiar. It isn't long before she brings you to a ceiling collapse. There's a hole leading up, which she vaults herself into. You climb behind her. The two of you emerge in a place not all that surprising--part of Demon King Muian's old lair.

"So there was a hidden way through all along," you comment. "Makes sense."

Rinlin wipes sweat from her brow. "The floor gave out when I was scouting. I have a feeling this wasn't the proper way through. It was a foolish mistake."

"You found something very important, Rinlin."

"But I would have died if you didn't show up. I'm not even going to question how you did that to the girl who was about to kill me. How do you know her name?"

"Here. Take my hand. We'll explain everything when we're back safe. My return is long overdue. I could go for a hot meal and an even hotter bath."

"You and me both."

After so many days away, you can hardly believe you're finally about to return home. That was the longest you've ever been without any of your party members. The more you think about Castle Phoenix and everyone in it, the more you feel a fire inside you burn. You can picture your Bunny Hop so perfectly. Your desire drives you, as does your sense of accomplishment. You did it. Not only do you now have another way to what seems to be Elok Daven's primary underground base, the mention of an underground spring gives you another idea. When you're finished recovering from such a long, lonesome journey, you're going to pay a little visit to the Lady of the Lake.

"So how long were you down here?" you ask, taking her hand in yours.

"They found me today. Why, what about you?"

"I think it's been almost a week. Somewhere around there."

"Kyle!" She squeezes your hand tighter. "You mustn't outdo me like this. I was sent to scout this place on behalf a nobleman in a town south of here. Yet you've travelled this far, towards what goal?"

"Eliminating this new, so-called Demon King. You were right about most of what you said. Elok Daven needs to go, and the woman lurking in the shadows, Breiah. Now ready yourself. We're going home. Now that we're no longer in that lab, I should be able to teleport us."

She nods.
