Even though it's been a while.

Standing in front of you three, their backs facing you as they faced a tree, were three questers that you've seen before, quite a long time ago : a male human, a male orc and a demoness. Since the first time you've seen them, their attire didn't change, the human being in a full plate armor while the male orc and the demoness wore loincloths, with some animal hide that, well, hid the demoness breasts. When Rei saw them, her ears immediately flattened on her head.

"Be wary, Rei. They managed to set an anti-magic area up." Said Fuyu.

You understood what she was talking about, even though you couldn't see it, and you were quite annoyed by what that meant. The first time you would try your magic in a real fight won't be now... And it's maybe better for you, because you then noticed that this time, they had weapons. The human had a sword in a scabbard on his hip, while the orc had a wooden club in his right hand, but maybe the thing that you disliked the most out of the three weapons they had was the demoness staff... Yeah, having demons use magic was maybe a bit too problematic for you.

"For now, we aren't sure what they are up to, and we don't know if..." You started, before being interrupted by the human, who turned around and saw the three of you.

"Well well well, what do we have here ? If it isn't the nuisance ?" He said with a smirk. "How lucky of you to have managed to free the son of a bitch we captured after so much efforts... Well, at least this time we got a... more secure way of keeping our target bound."

Both Rei and you quickly changed stance as you listened to him, taking a more offensive one for you, hands on the hilts of your weapons and your back slightly arched, ready to move quickly when needed, while Rei had her staff in her hands. After you did so, Fuyu looked at you, then at the man, before asking.

"I guess they are up to no good, right ? And Adam, don't be the one who wants to be sure about the intents of someone if you're the first to raise your weapon right after."

After saying that, the book Fuyu seemingly uses to take notes appeared in her hands, making her say.

"So we might be just out of the anti-magic zone... Rei, give me a second."

She then will open her book, searching for something in particular through the pages, before finding it, and putting her finger on a specific formula, that'll imbue the tip of it in a pure, white magic glow. Fuyu will then put said finger on Rei's arm, before saying.

"Activate."

And it seemed to be the trigger word, since the white glow went from her finger to Rei's arm, before enveloping her whole body, but only for an instant.

"This little spell will give you a limited protection against any form of anti-magic, but it only lasts for ten minutes. If you want to fight, I'll stay there and support you. As for you, Adam, I am sorry, but I don't think whatever magic you possess will be of much more help there than Rei's magic."

You glanced at the three foes, standing in front of you, placed weirdly close to each other, but that you didn't think about, as they were all facing you now.

"When we kill them ?" Asked the orc.

"When can I kill this stupid orc ?" Asked the demoness right after, seemingly very annoyed by the sheer presence of the orc.

"Give them time. A play can't be performed well if some of the actors aren't ready, and since we are the main protagonists of this play, waiting for some worthless side characters isn't such a pain." Replied the man, with quite the smug smile.

"I can see why you hate this guy now, Rei." You ended up saying.

Then, you pulled both of your swords out of their scabbards, changing slightly your stance to completely ready yourself to fight, even though you weren't sure how Fuyu will really help you with her book...
