Switch partners

After a few more minutes of trying to identify what part of you is attuned with telekinesis magic Tritera's voice rises above the crowd again.

Triter : "Alright, now find a new partner that has a different school of magic for you to try"

You look around, you had drifted over towards Jason and his friends.

Jason : "Hey, want to partner up?"

Jessica : "Sure, I'll cast first"

He firmly grips your staff, his hand touching yours in a way that distracts you momentarily before you bring back that little ball of fire. Jason closes his eyes as a look of deep concentration comes over his face. After a minute or so he opens his eyes with a confident smile.

Jason : "I think I got it"

He holds out his hand and a small flickering ball of fire blinks in and out of existence. It's very unrefined but clearly he has found resonance with your elemental magic.

Jason : "You're really easy to vibe with, you know?"

You weren't expecting that and find yourself disarmed and blushing.

Jason : "Ok, now lets try some Flora magic, you ready"

You nod, still a little flustered from his last comment. A patch of budding flowers comes to life in front of you. You feel the thrum of energy in the staff and, yes you do feel a strong resonance in your left wrist. You're sure this time, there's no mistaking it as the flowers grow large enough Jason picks a few and hands them to you.

Jessica : "Ok, let me try"

In one hand you hold the staff, in your other the small bundle of flowers. You focus on the point of resonance, willing the budding flowers to bloom. To your near surprise one does open to a brilliant blue green color, the same as Jason's eyes.

Jason : "Great job! I felt that, you were totally doing flora magic"

The boy's excitement rouses you out of impure thoughts. The two of you try a few more casts without much more success, Tritera has you all switch partners a few more times and you promise to meet up with the boys for lunch.

Tritera : "Alright recruits. that's all for today. If you have time and meet someone with a school of magic you haven't used before this is always a good exercise to help develop your senses. Go find your dorm master to find out what's next for you. I think I'll be meeting with some of you shortly."
