A Power Over Normality

Instead of finding, buying, or being given an item that grants power over Normality itself the individual is either born with, is given, or created a special ability with the power system of the world they are from. This is much more limiting than owning a godly item that controls others perception of and the concept of normalcy as instead the effectiveness relies on the users own skills and intelligence much more than an item would allow.

Ex. If someone in Naruto was born with a mind focused bloodline that either uses Genjutsu or forces the users will upon their targets. This wouldn't work on everyone immediately especially those much stronger than you, experienced in dealing with said effects, or your first attempt is to get them to go stripping in public. If the try to do something to far outside the target's comfort zone right away it might not work. They would have to be clever with their uses as one wrong move will cost all the effort the had worked for.

Of course this is not always the case. Sometimes the world they are from doesn't have people with particularly strong resistances to these mind bending effects but they have strong wills so it would not be wise to try and **** them to kill innocents or something. Although, some other actions could be acceptable if given good enough reasons.
