Walk to your house

While walking to your place you see a pile of boxes in front of your old, and Sammy's new home. A small robot is discreetly picking boxes up and moving them inside.

Sammy : "Cerve had me bring a couple boxes with robots over to my old place and said they'd pack stuff up and get it delivered here. She works really fast."

Alex : "Yeah, sometimes it's scary to think how quickly she moves. It hasn't even been a week since she went online."

Sammy : "It's super exciting to think what things could be like in another week."

She was bubbling with a kind of youthful energy that was exactly the thing you felt dying in your chest while working your old job. A zest for life that all these changes were carefully rekindling. For years now weeks would go by without anything note worthy happening to you. You had begun to think that this was just going to be your life, a numb kind of sleepwalking. Just passing time but not until anything. Mere survival, even in relative luxury but aimlessly and without purpose. Eventually you would have retired with a comfortable fund, mission accomplished on the career, you would have successfully executed the standard moderately high achieving white collar life. You'd have no complaints, to have a complaint would require you to actually have anything you could care enough about to break out of auto pilot.

Thinking about it now made your skin crawl, even if you woke up now and Cerve had just been a strange dream you would never go back to that job. You couldn't.

Sammy noticed your mind had wondered and brought you back.

Sammy : "What should we check out first in your new place?"

You hadn't thought about it until now, adding physical touch to the simulation and having it span the entire house was definitely an upgrade but there were so many possibilities that you weren't really sure what to show off first.
