"What do you think?"

Walt looked up from the sacks of potatoes he'd just loaded next to the rice to see Linda pointing towards a sign advertising a limited time egg sale that was "out of this world!" He shook his head looking at the picture of green space eggs. "Eh... I don't think so," he said and he was pretty sure he heard an alien scream from that direction. "Normal eggs will be just fine I think."

Linda shrugged and nodded. "You heard him," she told Shocket.

"What?" Shocket said with her pockets with moving bulges. "I don't got any eggs!"

"Let 'em go," Walt said pointedly looking at her.

"Fiiine," Shocket said dumping a yellow peanut M&M out onto the ground followed by several more anthropomorphic candies.

"Whoa," said Yellow looking around. "Thanks for the lift, dudes. How much do I owe you?"

A red M&M smacked him before dragging him away with the other candies who were running for it. "Not a taxi ride, dummy! We almost got eaten by a trash panda... again! Let's get the fuck outta here!"

"Really, Sis?" Linda said shaking her head.

"What?" Shocket said indignantly. "Walt asked me to grab the candy and snacks so I... you know." She shrugged.

Walt knew she couldn't help it, it was simply a part of her character. She was sticky fingered at times and a trouble maker with a violent side. Shocket just liked pushing the boundaries. Maybe because she shared some of Rockets tendencies or maybe it was her way of seeking attention growing up in their unusual circumstances. Or both... or neither. Either way she was still a pretty decent person and a friend. He affectionately patted her head to let her know he was proud of her eventually doing the right thing. "Some folks consider sentient and/or anthropomorphic food a delicacy but that never appealed to me and personally creeps me out a bit. Did you get some normal snacks?"

"Yeah," she said leaning into his hand happily while jerking her thumb at a cart full of stuff she'd attached to the others. They had quite the train of stuff being pulled by ATVs. "Think we got enough?"

Walt hummed and consulted the list. "Yeah that's most of it. Everything left is charted out on our return trip to check out. Time to start making our way that direction... but first was there anything else y'all wanted to look at or shop for yourselves?"

They smiled. Haruna was happy with all her new materials and Haruhime would be first getting new kimonos. Linda hitched her new utility belt with a set of brand new tools for her use as Shocket patted the but of a brand new BFG that could vaporize targets. Pirotess was happy with a new sword, long, thin, sharp and made out of mithril and Baroness had gotten a Photostatic Veil for herself. They were all very happy with their "gifts".

Walt however shook his head. "You know y'all mostly asked for tools. You can ask for more impractical stuff if you want. I don't mind."

But the ladies laughed. Seeing him look confused Haruhime explained with a slight smile. "You do things the harder way because you take enjoyment in the act of doing for yourself. Correct Master?"

Walt chuckled and threw his hands up. "Y'all got me! Well as long as you're happy, that's what is important."

There were a lot of exchanged glances and nods. That was one of Walter's best and most endearing qualities in their opinion.

"We're good," Haruna said taking his hand. "Let's get the last of the supplies and go home before something else-"

"General," Preston Garvey said saluting as he approached. "I see you made it. It's good of you to lend a hand."

Walt patted Haruna on the head. "Nice thought," he looked at her and the others and shrugged. "Well... what do you say? Care to lend a hand?"

They could see that it was something that he wanted to do and he was asking for their help, not demanding it.

"Very well," Anastasia said seeing the others nodding. "Let us have a bit more fun and excitement before going home, yes?"
