The next week

The next few days went by as well as could be expected, all things considered. Loraine still received lewd comments and snide remarks, but she was getting used to it, and could mostly ignore them. She carefully avoided crowded or narrow hallways, and so far no one has tried to touch her inappropriately. There has been no further word from Calixte Lefebvre, or any progress on how to prove her innocence.

Loraine tried her best to avoid Marc, although he and his crew seemed like the only ones willing to associate with her.

"So, when are we going on our next date?" He asked for what seemed like the hundredth time in homeroom.

"Ugghh, I told you already! That was a one time thing due to unfortunate circumstances, and things got out of hand. You're still annoying, and I have no intention of dating you!"

"Just annoying? You used to call me a 'super annoying pain in the butt', so I must be wearing you down," Marc laughed. "Don't worry, I plan to step up my game."

The next day, Loraine found a note on her locker. There will be a surprise for you at P.E. Have your phone ready. -M. She figured it would be something pretty lame, but couldn't help being curious by the time the bell rang for P.E.

Mr. Moreau wouldn't allow her to switch lockers, so unfortunately, Loraine was still beside her three former friends. Normally she just threw her bag into her locker and went straight to gym since she didn't have to change. Today however, she lingered, phone in hand.

"What are you staring at?" Camille snapped, as she began stripping.

"Guess she wants to stay and see what girls with real boobs look like," Margot laughed. When they had both stripped naked, they opened their lockers nearly simultaneously to grab their gym attire. That's when dozens of black spiders spilled out of their lockers.

"Eeek!!" The terrified duo quickly ran out of the locker room, stark naked. Laughing with glee, Loraine quickly ran after them, grabbing a handful of plastic spiders, her phone held up to record their flight. Geneviève, who had been giving Loraine a pitying look, now flashed her a smile and followed, grabbing her own phone.

"That was a great prank!" Geneviève said, catching up to her. "And look, I'm sorry about everything..."

Loraine ignored her, not yet ready to forgive. Although Geneviève hadn't been mean to her, she also hadn't stood up for her and silently followed along with Camille and Margot. Besides, Loraine had more urgent things to think about right now - like getting footage of her former friends running naked down the hallway.
