Chapter 17

What was Aurora doing while Sage was busy with "negotiations"?
To her own surprise, Aurora finds someone in this place with whom she can discuss highly intellectual topics.
While the body and mind of Sage are experiencing such "****" effects, Aurora (accompanied by two muscular men dressed in gray robes) walks along the winding corridors of this vast network of underground caves.
The dim light of the few fluorescent lamps, strange moss and fungal growths allows her to notice bas-reliefs on the walls of some caves.
Artfully detailed images of naked female and male bodies that intertwine with each other in the most unexpected and ... vicious poses.
Images of large (they look twice the size of a normal human) anthropomorphic strange creatures with horns on their heads and leathery wings on their backs.
Images of strange landscapes, buildings and symbols of unknown meaning.
All this does not escape the attentive gaze of Aurora.
She thinks as she walks: "This is incredible! How do these savages manage to create such skillful and beautiful images on stone?! Judging by their appearance and their stupid superstitious phrases, I assumed that they were too undeveloped to be able to create such high-quality examples of art... But, probably, there is someone much smarter among them..."
Twenty minutes later, two accompanying local inhabitants bring the rabbit-girl to a large, slightly rusty metal door, which is built into the stone wall of one of the caves.
This is a large door about three meters high.
Aurora sees how one of the guys approaches the door and presses some button.
She looks closely: there is something similar to a miniature intercom.
The man in the grey robe says: "Master Leonard... I beg your pardon for interrupting your important business... Mistress Naomi has ordered one of the Seekers to be brought to you... May she enter your workshop?"
Aurora watches the two local inhabitants who accompanied her.
There is a carefully suppressed anxiety in the man's voice. Perhaps this feeling is even stronger...
However, the rabbit-girl suggests that this is simply a manifestation of ignorance, superstition and low intelligence. These two guys, like most of the local inhabitants, are just a gathering of underdeveloped savages. Such an opinion may be offensive - but this is exactly what Aurora thinks, who is accustomed to the fact that in any community there are small elite circles and a controlled underdeveloped majority.
A minute later, a hoarse voice, slightly muffled by interference, comes from the intercom: “Let her come in… But only she can come in…”
The door opens with a metallic screech.
Two men, dressed in gray robes, leave, looking around fearfully.
Aurora enters the room.
The metal door closes automatically behind her…
This room is spacious.
Rabbit-girl takes a couple of steps forward, looking around the space of this room…
She can’t hold back an admiring sigh: “Ohhhh… How beautiful!”
The space of this room is much better lit than the caves through which Aurora had recently had to move.
The light of three fluorescent lamps on the ceiling.
Instead of the dirty stone walls of the cave – here the walls are made of polished marble.
Two large tables, on which lie a variety of sculptor's tools: stacks, cutters, shaped chisels, mallets, knives for stone carving.
Three chairs.
A wardrobe.
A bed in the far corner of the room.
Along the walls stand many large (about 2 meters each) sculptures: some of them are completely finished – and other sculptures are not finished yet. Also on the second table there are several small sculptures (about twenty centimeters in size).
The degree of realism and detail of each of the sculptures amazes the imagination of Aurora…
What her gaze sees is amazing, beautiful and… somewhat stunning.
An unfinished sculpture of a young woman, whose graceful body is covered with a thin veil.

Her hard, excited nipples are clearly visible on her large, charming breasts.
A small sculpture of a seductive naked woman with wings and two horns on her head. This sculpture stands on the second table among burning candles and flower petals.

A logical question - where did the inhabitants of these deep underground caves get the opportunity to get flowers?
But in the mind of Aurora this question fades into the background.
Her admiring gaze continues to wander around the room.
Near one of the walls she sees a large (probably just under two meters in size) sculpture that depicts a strange anthropomorphic creature with a human body, a goat's head and wings. On the body of this creature there are mysterious symbols, the meaning of which is unclear to Aurora. Her superficial glance only manages to notice the inscription: "Baphomet".

Then she is distracted again: in the center of the room rises a large monumental sculpture more than two meters in size. An image of a strong muscular man with horns and wings, whose face expresses a complex range of emotions (depression, anger, sadness and a conscious determination to fight against all odds).

This sculpture is almost completely finished - a noise is heard from behind it.
The next second, a tall human man comes out of the space behind this sculpture, holding a stone cutting tool. He is dressed in modest clothes, which are dusty - an apron, pants, a shirt. This man's face has a few wrinkles on the forehead and near the eyes.
A clean-shaven chin. No mustache. A small amount of gray hair near the temples. Dark brown hair.
He is probably a little over forty years old.
The man's black eyes are piercing. He looks into the eyes of Aurora and smiles affably.
For some reason, this slightly embarrasses her.
She mumbles: "Hello... My name is Aurora..."
He puts his tool on one of the tables and comes closer.
A firm handshake.
"I am glad to see one of the art lovers here... My name is Leonard." - the welcoming smile of this guy and the intent attentive look of his eyes attract the attention of the rabbit-girl. This is a strange effect of some natural charismatic charm.
He frees a place near one of the tables and makes an inviting gesture.
Aurora sits down on a chair.
Leonard quickly goes to the far corner of the room and takes something out of the cabinet.
The sound of liquid being poured into a container.
Then he brings the glass to Aurora's face.
There is a dark crimson liquid in the glass.
"Do me the honor... This is a good wine..." - the velvety timbre of his voice is mesmerizing.
What will Aurora do now? Will she be polite and drink? Or will she abstain?
NukeOut
Post-apocalyptic world.
The world after the nuclear apocalypse. A world of brutal struggle for survival.
