In typical scifi fashion things had started to change on the other side. People were reverting to more primal behaviors and personality differences were amplified. The meek became meeker, the dominant more dominant and everyone was far hornier. There were even physical changes to match the exaggerated personalities. Jessica was dominant and now taller than any of the more submissive males.

You are reintroduced to the perverted cast from the previous movies including "Jacky" who's changes are more than mental. Over the course of the movie he goes from merely looking like a feminine male and wearing a dress to outright having a sizable bust and being quite beautiful. Over and above the physical changes though he, or now she, went from moping and sad about her role to tempted and finally with acceptance she positively beamed with happiness.

When the movie ends and the ships go back through the wormhole the engineers find a way to reverse the effects by using the transporters while still under the effects of the radiation and Jacky refuses. She's found happiness a in servitude that she never knew as a loose canon first mate. Her and Jessica renew, and alter their vows.
