My safe space

Mona had a smile throughout breakfast and did have a few times she pinched her leg to stop from laughing. Angel seemed to be squirming and never looked at Mona. Just remembering the phone alert that Angel had made it so hard. The look when the alert sounded was almost as funny as her O face. The bitch would have to be watched. Mona was not sure what Angel wanted from Robbie but Mona would stop it. That is why seeing Angel so unable to keep her normal calm exterior was making Mona happy.

After breakfast, her dad went to work and Angel muttered something about a shower. Mona helps her mom clean. She is wants to stay home but knows she should go and see her friends. She just has a weird feeling about leaving Robbie with Angel. Mona had been fine with not being near Robbie before she knew Angel was going to be staying with them. Now she thinks that Robbie needs guarding.

That whip crack makes Mona wonder who she would have that set to as Robbie was still asleep so at least that know that it is not him. The worst part is that Mona has some classes starting soon and her tutoring so can't prevent Robbie from being alone with Angel. Should she get some cameras to set up? Robbie would probably agree if Mona said to make sure no one was trying to get into his computer since that is where Quest Master was installed. Living room and hallway for the bedrooms would be the other places. Robbie wouldn't go to Angel's bedroom unless emergency. Mona still has a few days before she needs to decide.

Mona gets to the theater to check her phone and see a text from Lisa that Xandria and her would arrive soon. As she is getting out of her car, she sees a guy kick his tire. She notices he is on his phone. Mona is about to go when she hears his frustrated sign and feels a need to sooth him. She doesn't even think about it as she moves up and touches him on the arm.

"Are you ok? Is there anything I can help with?" Mona asks.

"No, my friends are waiting on the police. Some rich kid slammed their car while they were getting food. I really wanted to see the movie but they could really use the ride," the guy replies while losing all his tension.

The guy blinks a couple of times and looks at Mona. He says with a bit of wonderment, "Wow, talking about it must have calmed me. Thank you so much. Have you bought your ticket yet?"

"Ummm... no, I am waiting on my friends."

"Ok, then take these. Might not be what you want to see but I can't refund my credits. If what you want to see is close to the same start time then it will save you some money. Think of it as a thank you. I have to go," the guy says and proceeds to hop in his car.

Mona steps back to be out of the way and just wonders what happened. She glances and see she has three printouts of QR codes for the movie she was here for. Mona feels like she should be more surprised by this happening but instead feels like is what should have happened.

Xandria and Lisa are entering the parking lot as she sees the guy exit. She waves at them and they park next to her. She shows them the tickets and explains about being lucky. The girls all laugh as they decide they can splurge for snacks.

After the movie, they all go back to Xandria's shack as she calls it. Most people would love to live in the quaint 1 bedroom house but Xandria is just use to more room though appreciates that her parents bought it for her to use for college. Lisa has told Seki and Mona that Xandria actually calls it a shack because she thought it would be her love shack. Xandria is horrible at finding the right boy so the love part has never happened.

Xandria shows her ancestry with appearance but her body is a knockout. She might not be skinny but just enough weight to go with her curves that makes her look like she was sculpted to be just the perfect amount before being looked at as a bimbo. Xandria is too smart for the boys she is attracted as a general rule.

All 5 of their group, Mona, Lisa, Seki, James and Xandria, work together as tutors. The girls all do it for the money as they might not have to pay for college (scholarship for Mona and Seki and parents for Lisa and Xandria) but their parents make them work. James does it because Lisa will inform his mother that he never leaves his room. This all leads to the girls sharing almost everything.

"What was up with your reaction when we all got to your house?" Lisa asks Mona.

Mona sighs and slumps in the beanbag. She just stares at the ceiling.

Xandria laughs and pokes at Mona, "Why do you not like her? Why did you get so mad? Is that girl that bad that you were ready to kill her?"

"Robbie deserves better," retaliates Mona, "She is a motherfucking conniving spawn of hell bitch."

"Tell us how you really feel," replies Lisa while starting to laugh with Xandria.

"Stop it. She just acts like she is better than everyone when around people who she doesn't need to influence and acts like an angel most times around the ones she doesn't want to to her being that way."

"Why do you care so much? Your brother didn't seem to be hanging on her. She doesn't seem to have him wrapped around her finger so what is it?" Lise inquires.

"A friend in Oregon told me she has or maybe had a group back in Oregon that followed her around and were in places they shouldn't be. I went and found other friends to get more information. There was not a lot but it sounded like she was a madame."

"Is that something bad as the ways I know that word being used doesn't seem bad?" Xandria ask.

"I mean it in the way of like a female pimp," Mona says.

"Oh, I remember that but why use that term over just call her a pimp? Doesn't really matter but what does that have to do with your brother?" Lisa asks.

"Being a pimp isn't enough? Angel's family is where Robbie was staying. She had many boyfriends over the past couple of years. Never lasted long and she always tried to get Robbie to make her feel better after. If she cared about Robbie, then why keep having boyfriends over just asking him? Plus some of the information that I was told is that girls knew she would go after them if they agreed to a date.

"Sounds like you are jealous," Xandria jokes.

Mona sighs and tears start to fall. The other two girls go and hug her.

"Why? Robbie is my safe space since he needed cuddles at 3 years old. Why? Robbie never has expectations for me. Why? Robbie deserves someone better than her. Why? Why? Why? Why did she follow him? I just wanted my cuddly baby brother back after all this time so I could vegetate curled up with him as he watched whatever.

Mona starts crying so hard. Lisa and Xandria comfort her as best they can. They both know how Mona keeps herself wound up feeling like she can't take bread from trying to stay the perfect student. No one but Mona believes that is required from her. This confession now makes sense as there is only one person she doesn't have to be that with which makes her trying to protect him so vehemently understandable.
