To the basement

You followed down the eerily familiar stairs and found yourself in the basement. Cerve in her avatar was the last one down and now that you were in a place here avatar could actually by in three dimensions the illusion was complete.

Cerve : "I hate to interrupt the fun but Sammy, you told me to warn you an hour before your stream starts..."

Sammy : "ah, OK."

She seemed disappointed. It was a little early on in your friendship for you to offer to have Cerve just fund her so she could quit working.

Sammy : "Cerve, can you do your trick of moving us so that we're where we are actually standing in the real world down here?"

Instantly two beams with your names appeared and you walked into them.

Cerve : "you're both off by a couple inches but this should have the effect you're looking for, close your eyes"

You finally realized what Sammy had in mind and close your eyes. When you reopened them you and Sammy's haptic gear had made it's return and you were back in the real world with none of the disorientation. Although it occurred to you that Cerve was perfectly capable of simulating this too.
