Josh knew he probably should have arranged things so that he didn’t have to work, but that might have meant making it so all men his height wouldn’t have to work either. Although his job wasn’t ideal—he worked as a cleaner for a business corporation that had been fully on board with the new rules before he made the changes—he understood the risk.

Still, once the rules were implemented, Josh was dismayed to find that he had shrunk from his previous height of 5'4" to just five feet, keeping him in the still-short range.
