A lead at last

I flew off soon as I was sure it was safe, heading for the mansion as fast and stealthily as I could. Arriving there I found just about everyone looking like they were working on getting preparations done. The professor explaining how Magneto and his Brotherhood would be joining us for the mission to take down Sinister. Following it up he further explained how Betsy had, through communicating with Titania, secured her cooperation and revealed to her the truth of what had happened to her former husband the Absorbing Man. To say she was furious was an understatement, thankfully Betsy was able to calm her enough to convince her to help us find Sinister's lab. With her agreement to help and clearly wanting to tear a pound of flesh out of Sinister to be a new mantle piece, everyone was getting ready. Why we wouldn't be leaving until the morning was due to some Shield scientists holding onto her new armor and weapon. Apparently some of the R&D division wasn't just kicking up a fuss as they tried to figure out how Titania's armor and new weapon were made, they were determined to replicate it to make better soldiers. So much so that they had managed to lock out numerous personnel trying to get inside and were refusing to open the door.

So Betsy was keeping Titania company, trying to keep her calm while Shield agents tried to deal with the disruption from the scientists. As for the Professor and Magneto? They weren't willing to take any chances on allowing Sinister to escape, so prep work was being done by everyone that could do it. I was at first told by the professor it would be better for me to stay behind, they didn't want me going into a fight like this if they could help it.

WARNING! MANDATORY OBJECTIVE ACTIVATED!
Objective 1: Take part in the mission to bring down Sinister.
Objective 2: Help locate those kidnapped and assist in rescue operations.
Objective 3: Help locate Apocalypse.
Warning, failure to take part in accomplishing objectives will have terrible consequences and can possibly lead to a potential loss of powers.

So... my system disagreed apparently on me staying back. The professor wasn't happy to see the same screen I was but was glad it only said I had to take part, that didn't mean I had to join the fighting itself. He explained how I could help considerably just by flying people back or healing those injured so they could continue fighting, he didn't want me in danger if it could be helped was how he explained it. I definitely wasn't prepared to face off against someone like Sinister let alone Apocalypse from what the Professor told me about how dangerous they were.

"Zane? I think it would be best if you relaxed as much as you could while you have the time. We don't know when Shields issues will be dealt with after all." With that I ended up making preparations for the mission before heading to have dinner. I took the time to inform Peter that we'd be heading out sometime soon for the rescue mission. I entrusted Peter to put the company card to proper use and get whatever resources they might need. Peter informed me that the main console had a shop screen that allowed them to purchase resources in bulk, pieces of equipment, even to put the company funds towards getting the different lab's and other rooms built. Peter and I discussed a few things regarding which would be most important to upgrade or build up first.

When we were done Peter was getting hold of numerous resources in order to put together some equipment himself, aside from putting the majority into storage of course. I ended up grabbing dinner before calling it an early night, following the Professor's advice that it was better to get as much rest as I could. When the time came for the mission, everyone would be ready to head out and hopefully save those still missing... The only thing to really worry about now was how long would it take for shield to release Titania so she could lead us to sinister's lab?
