Escaping in a humanoid form with tentacles he could summon as if his body was surrounded by invisible portals, Joseph went to the closest road leading to the town, waiting till a merchant caravan came through and getting on before getting off just before entering the city. Because of this, Joseph intentionally allowed the gatekeepers to see him, pretending that he had hitched a ride without them knowing while also stealing some clothes (But that part they didn't know). Joseph was then allowed to enter the village thanks to not needing ID, sneaking himself in while he left his daughter and fuck buddy, Candy, in charge of the tentacle monster swarm, giving her his knowledge to hopefully survive the village's purge of tentacle monsters. His only child he had after gaining human form due to taking a longer incubation period and forgetting her while he entered his cocoon, becoming not just his first humanoid daughter since Catnya but also sharing the kill karma bath with him while he was in his cocoon, giving them both a mental link to one another and unknowingly giving her a kill counter without the other system perks. This meant that Candy could slowly upgrade herself, but not by fucking (Although this wouldn't stop her), this also meant that she didn't have a devouring ability or the ability to change her class.
