You decide to stay

You cuddled with Cassiopeia on the couch for a short time. The afterglow fades and all that’s left is the feeling of numbness in the arm between her body and the couch. As you considered what the polite way to adjust would be Lepus returned to the room without knocking. The girl carried a large tray of food that she set on the table. Seeing her mistress no longer disguised she lets her own glamour drop. She really did have rabbit ears as well as soft looking brown fur. Although hard to see, you catch tiny white horns barely poking out from under her bangs. When she turns to leave you can see she, like Cassiopeia, has small bat wings on her back above the cutest little bunny tail.

You are relieved when your partner gets up first, your arm free at last. You both adjust your clothes and clean up a bit before sitting down for dinner. You had not noticed the table when you came in but looking around you see the room is big and full of amenities. Despite being one room, it is sectioned off into an office, a sitting room, and a dining room.

You laid into the meal, having just built up an appetite. Cassiopeia for her part is more refined, eating slowly bite by bite, but doesn’t seem to be put off at all by your lack of manners. Instead she steals glances now and again, blushing when you catch her.

As you eat you notice that the fog over your mind has lifted completely. The perfumed smell still lingers, now mixed with the smell of sex but clearly that wasn't what was effecting you. You think back and realize all your memories from the last year are clear again... you remember all the things you did, all the births, everything. You even notice a discrepancy between how many monsters they said you gave birth to and how many children you really had. You had expanded the monster population a lot.

The demon interrupts your thoughts.

“I do have some bad news for you.”

“Hmm?”

“Not sure how to say this, but… you have been adventuring for a year… we… my people have secured all three of the relics…”

You nearly ****, coughing before grabbing some water to try to clear your throat.

“Yeah… I expected that reaction… and I assume at some point soon you will realize what it means that Demons control the guild since you have your memories back.”

Thinking about it... if the guild was run by demons then the invasion was half way complete, they had control over half the fighting population.

“Yup, there it is, I can see it in your eyes. Yes, we mess with female adventurer’s heads. Yes, we manipulate them into breeding more monsters. And very few of them see demons as threats after a while, let alone enemies… they are conditioned over time to accept us.”

“What about me?”

“You should be fine now. Call it sexual healing..." she smiles weakly.

" I could have done the same with you… maybe… your will power is pretty high. I could have, but I didn’t. I should have really, I am one of Fornax's three Generals, but I let my little crush get the better of me. As soon as I heard you were here I came to... I don't know... Rescue you?”

Her expression has turned guilty, and she looks very much like she expecting you to rebuke her.

For the time being though... you are more grateful then angry. When she sees you continuing to eat she ventures to speak again.

“I am sure you have questions, I need to build trust here, so ask away.”
