Wights (1 Star Difficulty)

Helena noticed among a new 1 Star poster calling for the extermination of Wights. These were low level undead left behind when a vampire drained a victim of their blood without turning them into a thrall. Rather than serving the vampire, they were left to roam, starved and desperately seeking someone else’s life force they could drain. They were the sort of monster that most mercs wouldn’t worry about, so Helena took a closer look at the poster.

Only to discover something that sent a chill down her spine: the Wights were loose in the slums here in Arthuron. On their own, a group of Wights warranted a 1 Star difficulty. But they were typically found in small villages, or came from trading caravans that were attacked by vampires. Their presence in the slums meant there was a vampire near or even inside the capitol. That meant that, more than dealing with the monsters themselves, the person who dealt with this job needed to uncover information about the vampire responsible for this.

This was a problem that could escalate if left alone. Was this the job Helena would take on today?
