The conversation went well

"Look, i've been talking with Cyg and I hear you have been treating Cass right... It's clear you don't hate demons... so why side with humans?" Cetus starts first.

"I am human." You respond quickly.

Shaking her head Cygnus deniedthat "Hmm... no... you aren't... not entirely at least."

Both you and Cetus stare at Cygnus until she continues. Her eyes are brighter then normal and you can see magic particles emanating from them as she stares into you with her silver gaze.

"You are very much like us demons... just in a different ratio... although it varies, most demons are about half demon, a quarter celestial, and a quarter human. Cass is the outlier being half celestial and the rest being mostly demon... you are the same but with demon and human flipped."

Cetus broke in at that point.

"I am sure Cassiopeia told you her theory right? That the Slut Queen who birthed thirty generations of our kind was the original Parsa... if Parsa was mostly celestial and human that would make sense."

"But why would I have any demon in me... unless it was something one of you three did?"

"Hm... I don't even know how we would do that... though... I have a different theory."

"Go on..."

"Well... all depictions of the Slut Queen show her with the characteristic wings, horns, and tail of our species. If she found a way to become a demon... and you are Parsa reborn, it would follow you would be a demon too."

"I don't have any of those features... And I am not that Parsa..."

"Wait wait what the fuck does that mean?"

Cards on the table time... you explain you are from another world and that you were just summoned into a statue. So you should be more human if anything since demons and angels didn't really exist in your world.

Tapping her chin Cygnus came to a realization "Because you weren't summoned into a statue of the Slut Queen, you were summoned into a statue of the Hero. If my theory holds... it isn't our influence... it is time that is changing you."

"She is becoming a demon?!" Cetus seems shocked.

"No... well maybe, my theory is she is slowly aligning to whatever the original Parsa was when she passed on... so if that was half demon... then yes?"

"How can some one just slowly become more or less of a species... that's stupid! Cat's can't just turn into dogs over time."

"But they can with magic right... we can cast a spell that turns a cat into a dog... that is kinda part of what makes celestial magic scary... unlike demonic magic that is about destruction... celestial magic is about creation... That's why it can heal, it can fix, it can change. So with a celestial spell yes you can slowly turn a cat into a dog... and I believe the original Hero's Celestial magic is what allowed her to become a demon. The goddess made demons as well as humans after all."

The two continued to argue theology while you got lost in your thoughts. If Cygnus was right you would become a demon eventually, but what she hadn't said... was that maybe your exposure to demons was on some subliminal level causing your own celestial magic to adapt... to take on their aspect. Could it really be time, or was it you aligning to the demonic from exposure...

"THE POINT!" you were broken out of your thoughts as Cygnus yelled at Cetus. "Is that physically she is more celestial then anything still, judging by her magic, she is still less then twenty percent demon, even if she became nearly half demon I don't think the celestial will give at all... for any physical manifestations to occur, she would need to desire it AND she still would probably need some sort of catalyst."

"Are you all still arguing."

It must have been a while because Cassiopeia had just returned and was pushing her way between Cygnus and Cetus with a disappointed look on her face.

"The last thing I expected was to find you two fighting... what gives?"

"I may have only been studying magic for a thousand years or so... but I am sure that Parsa could become a demon, but only if she wants to AND there was a powerful enough Catalyst present. Until then, yes her magic could become more demonically aligned but it will never exceed about forty-nine percent and all this is really based on how demon the original Hero was." Says Cygnus succinctly.

"I just think it is stupid... one thing doesn't change into another thing unless some one physically or magically makes the change on purpose."

Cass turned to you with a raised eyebrow.

"They are agreeing with each other aren't they, just using different words?"

You nodded.

"The demon is in the details though... I am saying that like a child grows into an adult, over time she is becoming more like the original Hero... BUT without a catalyst that is only really affecting her mana her body won't change. That demon mana has to be what is effecting the relics."

"That is all very important, but did you at least decide to be friends? Can Parsa grab the last relic?"

All three of you then stared blankly at Cassiopeia realizing that you had completely forgotten what you were supposed to be discussing.

"Look, she may be an ok person unlike you two sluts... but I aint gonna let her exterminate our kind."

"I wouldn't do that!" you say without hesitation... your own eyes go wide when you realize what you said.

Cygnus' eyes glow silver and she lifts a hand in triumph. "There it just happened again!"

"Wait... are you saying the more she sympathizes with demons, the more demonic she becomes?"

"That seems to be the case... still the celestial half isn't budging, so she just becomes less human."

"This is making my head hurt, look... I don't think I give a shit any more... she says she isn't going to kill all our people... that is good enough to me, I am gonna go look around." With that Cetus walks deeper into the temple.

"Magic theory was never her strong point... the poor dear."

"So what are you going to do?" Cygnus pops the question. "How can you be the hero without killing us all?"
