First, getting out of here.

The chapter's title explains the idea running in all of your minds. You needed to get out of Noldrin by any mean possible, but preferably while acoiding killing or hurting anybody, as you don't really want to have more than one reason to be brought to the queen.

Lady Melda went at the alleyway's end to see if any guard was near, while Lady Kogai explained to you and your party that even at night, Noldrin's main door was guarded, and that since there was no other escape to their knowledge, the five of you will need to make a run for it, something that wasn't particularly enticing to you, but you nodded anyway, letting out an heavy sigh at the same time, which made your feelings about that particularly obvious.

When Lady Melda came back to you to inform all of you that there was no guards in sight, you took advantage of the occasion and sneaked out of the alleyway, as discreetly as possible when you were three people following the two Ladies. It wasn't long before you understood that you didn't need to really be sneaky though, as even with the sun having disappeared behind the city's walls, the streets were still animated, with lots of people, may they be citizens or visitors, wandering around, either searching for a shop in particular or to simply visit around.

The city's animation was an advantage for you, as all of you noticed some guards on either sides of the street, which weren't normally there from what you've seen of the city so far, and Lady Melda confirmed it when she whispered to you, Rei and Douma without turning around in the slightest.

"We need to act like we belong here, and not like we are trying to run away. If you are confident in yourself, then they will not be an issue."

The three of you slightly nodded, even though Lady Melda didn't turn her head to see your answer, and tried your best to look confident, which when you looked at Rei and Douma, gave the former a seductive appearance, and a cocky appearance to the latter.

Because of this, and maybe also mainly because of the fact that there was a lot of people in the streets, your small group was able to get all the way to the main entrance of the city, or the main exit in your case. You stopped far before reaching it though, as you gave it a good look, noticing the multiple guards guarding it.

"We need a way to get out of here without them noticing me..." You say, knowing this was obvious, but still saying it. And lady Melda almost intantly replied.

"I have another cloak in my bag, you are free to take it to hide your face, but I will ask you to give it back to me when we will be out of the city."

And it is only as she said it that you noticed that she had a bag on her back. Well, noticed is a bit exagerated, as you only saw the top of it under her dark green cloak, before she pulled it off of herself, letting you open her bag and search in it for a little while, before pulling out of it the very same cloak that Lady Melda put back after you closed her bag.

When you put the cloak, you finally understood how small Lady melda was. Where the cloak came down to the knee for you, it almost came down to her feet, which made Rei giggle a touch, before she said.

"Next time Adam, we'll buy you a cloak, alright ?"

"Yeah... I guess that'll be a good idea." You reply, trying to not catch Lady Melda's eyes staring at you with a murderous look as you put on the hood of the cloak.

The five of you then walked to the main entrance, the girls still bearing a confident look, as you were hiding your face under the hood, and when you got past the guards, one of them stopped you as expected by the Ladies, who said in unison.

"Why stopping us ? we are going to our domain at the foot of the Thundering Range."

"We will let you pass, but we need your hooded friend to show us their face. As you may know, we are searching for a certain Adam Marshall, who fought by your side in the battle that you lead this morning." The soldier replies calmly, completely unaware of the fate that will be his.

Right after he finished his sentence, Lady Kogai and lady Melda calmly goes to the guards who were on both sides of the main entrance, before swiftly knocking them out, and running with you and your party through the entrance, past the set of guards at the other side, who couldn't do more than yelling at you to stop when they saw your hood be blown off your head as you ran, revealing your face, the face they were searching for. But you didn't listen to them, running away with the Ladies and your party members.
