A little push

As Kael and Ria walk into their quarters, Kael looks around. It doesn’t seem like much more has been done, and soon it becomes obvious why. A few moments after they enter, Evie rushes out of a bedroom, adjusting the dress she’s clearly thrown on in a hurry. She’s blushing furiously, and hurries over to Kael and Ria.

“Master! Youre back already!”

Kael and Ria share a glance, and laugh. Just then, Gabby leans against the doorway of the bedroom, wearing nothing at all. The big holstaur shows no embarrassment, as usual, and grins.

“Sorry, sir. We were…distracted.”

Kael laughs again, sitting down on the couch. “You know I don’t mind. And Evie, I thought we were past that.”

Evie is still blushing as she sits beside him. “Yes, master. You just surprised me is all.”

Ria chuckles as she sits on the other side of Kael. “I think it’s cute, Evie. Even after all this time, you still get flustered.”

Evie nods. “I do, Miss Ria. And I’m glad you think it’s cute!”

Gabby leans over the back of the couch, draping her arms over Kael’s chest. Her breasts are distractingly pressed against him as she does. “Everything she does is cute.”

Kael nods, smiling. “I agree. But back on topic, we come with news.”

Gabby chuckles. “Should I get dressed?”

Ria answers immediately. “Absolutely not!”

Kael rolls his eyes. “How am I the least horny one?”

Ria grins at him. “I’m not the one picking up new girls today!”

Evie looks at him with wide eyes. “Are you adding to the family, master?”

Now it’s Kael’s turn to be flustered. “No! That’s not…look. First off, we didn’t get any new information on the letters. Lord Greyheart is looking into it.”

He sighs. “The real news is, we have our first new champion. A nonhuman woman named Petra.”

Ria nods. “She’s cute! She’s definitely got the hots for the big guy here.”

Kael shakes his head. “You don’t know that, Ria. She’s had it tough, it seems like, and she’s excited to finally be accepted. That’s all.”

Ria rolls her eyes. “For someone surrounded by women, you really are clueless about them sometimes. Did you see the look on her face? Especially when you offered to spar with her? Trust me, big guy, if you follow through with that, she’ll follow you around like a puppy.”

She grins. “And I think you absolutely should! Right girls?”

Kael feels Gabby laugh. “Definitely. The more the merrier.”

Even Evie is smiling. “I agree, master. To have a protector that devoted to you…I know how that feels.”

Kael sighs. “Look, I’m not going to actively seek it out, but if it happens, that’s fine. I don’t want to take advantage of her naivety, you know?”

Ria shakes her head. “She’s not stupid, big guy. Don’t mistake her lack of language skills for lack of intelligence. No one fights like that without a sharp mind.”

Kael is about to answer, when there’s a knock at the door. Orins voice can be faintly heard, calling out.
