The Spider Women Part 1

As Peter slept on, his mind returned to the Web of Reality. There he saw the events of the previous days threaded into the web. The battle at the harbor was the biggest thread and featured prominently. Peter tried to look for some answers, but his vision became cloudy and the thread faded from view. The web was replaced by shadowy figures who surrounded the Web-Slinger. Peter was prepared to fight, until the shadows became the women he knew and had made love to. Gwen, MJ, Felicia, Roxy, and Kara all stood around him. One by one they embraced him and kissed him. Peter’s surroundings became bright.

“Why don’t you ask her.” Yuri said pointing behind the spider. He turned his head and met face to face with Black Widow. She was wearing her signature black outfit.

“Hello Spider-Man. It’s been awhile.” The super spy spoke in her Russian accent. She held out her hand.

“Black Widow, yeah it has been a hot minute. You're still Fury’s right hand?” Spider-Man shook Natasha’s hand.

“Yes, And as of yesterday, I am now the S.H.E.I.L.D liaison for the now Justice League of Avengers.”

“Well that’s a very original name.” Spider-Man quipped. To Peter’s surprise, Black Widow smirked at the joke.

“Anyway, I came here to report that the Green Goblin is still in S.H.E.I.L.D custody.”

“I thought he was kept at Ravencraft on grounds of insanity?” Commissioner DeWolff asked.

“He was, but recent incidents had **** Dr Kafka to hand him over to S.H.E.I.L.D. Osborn is now held in an isolation cell in the Raft.” Black Widow reported. She then tapped at her wrist and pulled a live feed of Osborn’s cell. Spider-Man’s lenses narrowed at the sight of him. Black Widow then cut the video.

“Okay, so there’s a new Goblin in town. But why are you the one telling me this?” Spider-Man asked the super spy.

“I am also here on official League business. While you have not been officially nominated, your status as a former Avenger means you are to be given a new JLA I.D card. If you ever are in need, the card is also a communicator.” Natasha handed him the card.

Spider-Man took the card and nodded. “Thanks, I guess.”

Black Widow gave Spider-Man an almost sexy glare. “You would be a worthy addition to the team, and you would have my full recommendation.” Black Widow stepped back from Spider-Man. “Call me if you need anything from me Spider-Man.” She then tapped her wrist and teleported away much to Peter’s surprise.

“You’ve got a way with the girls Webhead.” Yuri whistled.

“We need to return to our jobs. We’ll keep you posted on any leads into the Oscorp raids. See you around Spider-Man.” The Commissioner and Captain walked to the stairwell door and left the roof. Spider-Man was left alone.

Peter jumped from the roof to Web-swing across the city. His hud displayed a text from his group chat with the girls.

As if on cue, an NYPD alert hit his mask…

All available units in the vicinity of Rockefeller Center. Suspect Macdonald Gargan a.k.a The Scorpion has been spotted. Suspect considered hostile and dangerous. Two Heroes already on scene, use **** caution.

‘Looks like I have to help my fellow heroes, and get rid of a pesky Scorpion.’

Spidey cut through Times Square and headed northeast. When he arrived at the famous New York skating rink, standing front and center in a three-way standoff was the Scorpion and two other spider themed heroes. Jessica Drew and Julia Carpenter. They were both known as Spider-Woman. Jessica wore her classic red and yellow suit and cowl while Julia dawned the black and white suit and mask similar to Peter’s black suit.

“One chance, Scorpion! Give it up!” Julia told the crazed criminal. Gargan laughed and raised his claws that fired energy blasts at the Spider-Women. The heroines dodged and circled Gargon.

“I think negotiations are canceled.” Jessica told her partner. Jess fired Venom Blasts at Gargan. Scorpions armored claws absorbed the damage. Julia created a psionic web line and wrapped it around Scorpions tail but Gargan used this to pull Julia towards Jessica. The women collided but quickly recovered.

“I’ll enjoy putting your heads on my wall!” Scorpion growled as he charged up his tail cannon. Said tail cannon was webbed from afar and redirected.

“Live from New York! It’s Spidey Night Live! And are special guest host, one really deranged Scorpion!” Spider-Man quipped. Spidey landed on a flag pole.

“Three of you! Just my luck!” Scorpion laughed. He than jumped towards Spidey with his stinger brandished and dipped in poison. Peter jumped over Gargan and webbed his back and pulled bringing Scorpion back to the ground. Gargan jumped back to his feet to receive Spidey’s multiple kicks to the head. Scorpions tail swung and drove Spider-Man back.

“You think that hurt me, Webbead?!”

“No, but I think it gave you amnesia, did you forget about them?.” Spider-Man pointed behind Scorpion who turned and got hit with a full **** Venom Blast to the face by Jessica. Scorpion raised his claws to fire, so Julia formed Psionic webs to restrain his claws and stinger. Then Peter swung right into Gargan with web kick. Scorpion flew and was rendered **** upon the ice rink.

“Now If only they’d give us our own Ice show. How’s my fellow Spiders?” Spider-Man asked the Spider-women.

“Better when the Calvary arrived. Looking good Spider.” Julia told Spider-Man.

“Scorpion wrecked a jewelry store. He gave us a workout chasing him here.” Jessica explained. A squad of cops retrieved Scorpion and put him in a RAFT cage. He was then carried away by helicopter.

“Can we buy you a drink?” Jessica asked Peter.

“I should be the one asking. But I won’t refuse a lovely offer.” Peter agreed. “I’d love to catch up with you two.”

Spider-Man and the Spider-women headed out of the Rockefeller ice rink together. While Peter and Julia web swinged, Jessica propelled herself into air and flew.

“I thought you could only glide?” Peter commented to her.

“S.H.E.I.L.D upgraded me and my suit, I can fly now. No more gliding.” Jessica smiled.

“My psionics got a boost as well thanks to some training from the X-men.” Julia added.

“Well I got…some Stark tech made gadgets…I feel like I got the short straw.” Peter sighed and the women laughed.

In the distance, Black Widow watched the group leave from a rooftop view.

“I’ll see you soon, Spider-Man.”
