You really need a break now.

Before taking your break, you needed to know how much time was left for you before you had to go to the Manor of Elegy, so your whole party and you started to think about it, and eventually found out that you already only had five hours and a half left. What do you have to say about it ?

"That is still a lot of time... Any idea on how to spend it ?" You simply ask to Douma and Rei.

"Can w-we go to the... cathedral, p-please ?" Asks back Douma, to which Rei almost instantly replies in a playful tone :

"Yes we can, and we still have to work on your stutters."

Seeing that Rei instantly agreed, you shrug, before following Douma with Rei, as she seems to know the place of the cathedral she wanted to visit. As the three of you walked, it felt like it was the first time you weren't in a rush. You had time to spare, you could do whatever you wanted, but since this world was keen on giving you a punch in the face whenever you wanted to have a good time, and it didn't happen yet, you wanted to make the most of this time given to you.

When you finally arrived to the cathedral, you needed to raise your head a lot, since it was very big. Once again, it was a magnificient build, made of the same marble as a lot of buildings in Noldrin, but in a gothic style that was unique in the city. Its stained glass windows were beautiful on the outside, but you were sure they looked even better inside of the cathedral, and you wouldn't take much time to see if it was true, since Douma got past the double doors of the cathedral really quickly, for some reason, but neither you nor Rei complained, too busy looking at the cathedral.

When you got inside, it was also beautiful, with various representations of a goddess, which one you might ask ? You have no idea, but all the representations of her were beautiful, even the enormous marble statue of her was beautiful. You expected that from a cathedral, after a tiny bit of thinking. After finally detaching your eyes from all these representations of this goddess, you noticed Douma, kneeling in front of the marble statue, seemingly praying, for some reason.

As you looked at Douma, Rei said to you :

"This is a cathedral for the Goddess of Life, the biggest one for her in the whole continent. It's not surprising that Douma came here to pray if she is a priest of the Goddess of Life. You should go pray too, since we will have an harsh battle in a few days, or even tomorrow."

"Don't you have to pray too, in that case ?" You ask, genuinely curious about it.

"No, we vixens don't pray the gods for our good luck, we rather pray the kitsunes spirits, like Shirayuki. The kitsunes are incredible beings in our eyes, and they can do almost anything if they reach their last tail, the ninth one. We pray for all the kitsunes to grant us strength and wisdom before a perilous event. I will search for a vixen shrine, I'm sure there's at least one in the city, while you pray. See you later."

"See you later then." You casually answer, before waving at her. When she got past the double doors of the cathedral, you made your way to Douma's side, who was still praying, before kneeling in front of the shrine, lowering your head as you joined your hands, starting to pray too. You didn't really know if praying really mattered in this world, even though it seemed like the gods, particularly the God of Chaos, were quite active in this world.

After a little while of praying, you hear Douma stand up, before subtly touvhing your shoulder. When you felt her touch, you stopped praying and looked at her. She was glowing, for some reason, and looked at you with a mischievous smile.

"I haven't seen you before, little one." She says, but in a tone that didn't remind you of Douma at all, she wasn't even stuttering ! "Yet I can sense something within you, fear and anticipation battling inside of your soul, deep within you, where you can't feel them. Come with me, and let me relieve you of this interior battle."

She then proceeded to walk to a small door on the side of the room, before simply opening it and inviting you inside. You looked around you, glad to see no one other than the two of you inside the cathedral, was it a monday today, for no one to be aorund ? Anyway, you followed Douma inside of the room, where there was only a big bed, nothing else. It was really confusing to you, why would something like that happen now ?

Douma then sat on the bed, before looking at you, and saying :

"It seems like you are confused, little one. Let me explain then. I am the one you know as the Goddess of Life. I took control of your angel friend's body for now, and it won't last, to bestow upon you a gift that will help you in your journey. Although, to get this gift, you will have to find out why your species like to call me the "Goddess of Love". Now, it isn't mandatory for you, you could deny my offer and go fight your next fight, although your opponents will have a great chance to end your journey and your life there. What is your choice ?"

You didn't need much time to think. You wanted a break ? The world gave you a break, and a nice one !
