Don't be relieved too soon.

The elf was just supporting the demon, in case something unexpected happened, but it didn't look like she needed support at all, hitting her opponent with incredible speed and precision, making them retreat in less than two minutes, not bothering to follow them though, as she looked at you.

Meanwhile, behind the elf, Rei was both excited and amazed by this show of strength, before saying :

"You have my sincerest of thanks, Ladies Kogai and Melda. Without you, I doubt he would have came out of here alive."

Her tone showed in equal measure respect and fear at the women, and you just couldn't believe the names that she said : Lady Kogai and Lady Melda, the two Legends you were supposed to encounter this evening, were the ones who saved you from the one who attacked you. Before you could thank them, Lady Kogai fot closer to you, lending you an hand to help you stand back up, which you gladly accepted, before she asked :

"Adam, is that it ? Is it you, the one who set free Atsura, the commander of the Chaos Legion ?"

This question made both you and Rei freeze, as Douma, who was alongside Rei, looked confusedly at you. You didn't know what to answer to this question. Yes, you have helped setting Atsura free, but you weren't knowing his true identity, you just helped someone who asked you for help, so you stood there, in complete silence, looking as confused as Douma, which didn't seem to please Lady Kogai nor Lady Melda, the latter pulling the string of her bow, with an arrow between her fingers, aiming right at you, while Lady Kogai said :

"Was this question that hard to answer ? Just say yes or no, are you the one who set Atsura free ?"

Sensing the tension in her voice, you understood that you should give her an answer quickly, or else it won't end well for you, so you quickly nod, a bit too afraid now to add anything. To your surprise though, Lady Melda lowered her bow after you answered, saying :

"So your vixen friend was right... I guess she was right too when she affirmed that you didn't know about his true identity before freeing him."

Her tone being much more relaxed than Lady Kogai's helped you relax a bit, enough for you to finally answer something :

"Indeed. We freed him because Shirayuki asked us to help her free him. We didn't have any idea they were higher ups from the Chaos Legion."

Melda opened her mouth to answer, but Kogai cut her before she could say a word, surprising you quite a lot with her reply :

"That's better like that. Knowing that someone able to survive an earth elemental is on our side, even if you don't look that strong, is a bit relieving It means that you and your party are capable of doing something at least... Frankly, I am not sure that everyone that came with you will be able to make it out alive. Most of the parties that came here seems to be very weak, just like you, but you have the advantage of having experienced facing something far stronger than you."

"I guess so, but.... Why telling me that ? I'm sure my party and I could die in mere seconds facing the Chaos Legion anyway." You reply, getting more and more confused by the conversation.

"I don't think so. It is just that you need some better equipment." Says Melda, before motioning you to follow her. "You and your party, come with us. We will show you to a smithy we know since a long time. Since we cover all expenses made for equipment for this quest, you are in luck, so don't worry about what you will buy."

"I..." You start to say, but quickly stop, unable to find any argument to dissuade them from just letting your party bui whatever you wanted. So you finally sigh, before following Kogai and Melda.
