You decide that your first course of action in this empty world should be to pull up some smut and get to reading. You’ve never been one for reading, but erotica has always been an exception for you. Probably because most other books don’t have hardcore penetrative sex in them.

Going through the site, you scan through some of your personal favorite stories, seeing if they’ve been updated recently. Obviously they haven’t given the whole “everyone is gone” thing, but it’s good to check nonetheless. After going through every story you still actively follow and seeing the expected lack of updates, you take a moment to consider your options, before eventually taking the plunge into a new fic.

After scanning through a few stories that lean too heavily into fetish material for your own liking, as well as one incredibly transphobic piece full to the brim with slurs, you eventually settle on one that actually seems quite arousing. Decent in length, not overly bloated, good amount of sex, but not too much sex that it takes away from the plot, it’s even got most of your kinks in there too. It also has a few questionable aspects in there, like viewing the idea of queerness as inherently sexual in nature, but aside from all that, it’s pretty good. You sit down in front of the screen and start reading it from the very beginning, skimming a bit through the setup until the good stuff begins.
